Today, at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C., Secretary Clinton joined South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War. Here is a slideshow of the wreath-laying ceremony. It was a beautiful day, today, commemorating a devastating and sad period in Korean and U.S. history.

Wonderful slide show. Thanks so much for your posting them.
Today and all day on the news where the remarks made from the “Today Show” about Hillary Clinton being on the Supreme Court. That praise from Sen. Hatch was viewed all day today on the cables and this evening. This afternoon Press Secretary Gibbs was asked if she was on the list. The White House said no she doing a wonderful job as The Secretary of State and that President Obama wants her staying right where she is. The press gave her great praise also. What a great day to have everyone finally give her the praise she so deserves. I am so proud of her. We here on this blog already knew just what a smart and hard working Secretary of State she is. But then, we all knew that long ago. Oh how I will always remember todays news about our girl and the great remarks said about her.
God Bless you Madame Secretary your the Gem in this administration.

She really is – she has (again) the highest approval rating. Has consistently throughout the administration.

Consistent!
I don’t think this will be a one-day thing. The more notice she gets, the more we will see. It’s all good!

This event was supposed to be about honoring those brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the South Korean people, and honoring those veterans who pledged their lives to do so. It is not about a photo op for a politician.
Hillary beat it right after the wreath laying while the President of South Korea stayed around to spend time with the veterans and express his appreciation for their sacrifices.
I spent my 19th birthday in Korea in 1953. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.

I’m so sorry. I approved this once, and it appeared, but then it showed up as pending again, so I reapproved it. I do not know why that happened. Anyway, I had also replied to you. She did not leave because she did not take this very seriously. This was her schedule for that day. She had another event right after this.

The following day was just as packed.
http://rose4hillary.blogspot.com/2010/04/secretary-of-state-clinton-daily_13.html
Believe me, she cares deeply about our armed forces, their sacrifices, and contributions. She left only because it was a heavily scheduled day and she had to get to the next venue.
The purpose of this blog is to record her tenure at State. The Secretary has no control over the number of photos that are taken. For her, it was not a photo op. For this blog, it is part of the record. There was no intention of offending anyone. I am sorry if you took offense. None was intended. I am very, very conscious of the war and its aftermath for personal reasons.

Great slide show. Thanks for showing us what a truly AMAZING woman stands for.
I only wish Hillary could be cloned and sent all over the world to cure the misogynists, the homophobes and the incurably racist human beings that inhabit this “hill of beans” (our planet earth)……
As Rick said it:
