     My guess would be Madame Secretary, but if we aren’t counting official State Department info, then it’s Mrs. Romney. Mitt’s hair looks like it requires a lot of product and preening and I don’t see him toting around a man-purse. The republicans would never nominate him then.

       I have two theories.

       Theory A:
       She’s happily easing into non-political life. She saw them and thought it would be nice to say hello because it’s the nice, polite thing to do.

       Theory B:
       There is some small part of her that is still a politics-lovin’ democrat and that part of her knows that one of those conservative candidates will find this picture and use it against Mr. Romney.

   WOW. Who took that picture? Imagine strolling to your gate and you look over to your left and see a handsome, middle-aged man talking with two pretty blond women. Then you realize who said people are.

       I found it on Twitter just now! Looks like they were flying out from National. Methinks I need to book my next plane ticket home for a Friday evening. Just in case… I still can’t see how they’re all there together without security having a fit. Maybe fits were thrown and we just don’t know it. I hope she has a wonderful weekend with the husband and the dogs.

         Even though the Romneys are republicans, I don’t think Secretary Clinton’s protection detail would view them as a threat to her safety.

         On a similar note, I wonder if the White House views this as fraternizing with the enemy?

           I didn’t mean the Romneys would hurt her–it seems dangerous for all of them, especially her. They’re in a crowded airport and I only see one man in the picture who could potentially be a SS agent. The reporter who took the picture was obviously allowed to get very close to them without a problem.

           I can see Obama pouting right now, but what else could she do? It wouldn’t exactly be polite to ignore them, or for them to ignore her.

             I was joking about the Romneys and I totally get where you’re coming from. I know someone who was in the Secret Service and did personal protection work in the nineties. They’re there, but they also understand people’s interest in our politicos and try to be accommodating. They were probably just out of the shot. It makes a better picture for the person taking it and keeps a little more of the agents’ anonymity intact.

           Still–I fly to Georgia because that’s where my family is from. I was just thinking it would be cool to be at the airport at the same time she is. However, I do have tentative plans to travel to Westchester next spring. Maybe we can find a way to meet up then. I’d love to meet another Hillary friend in person!

         The Romneys were arriving – for the evangelical meet-up today. She was departing for home. Chance meeting. HRC is so cordial, of course she would stop to greet them.
