One prediction that popped up regularly over the past several months was that HRC would, after her tenure as SOS, head up the World Bank, That rumor crashed and burned in the Rose Garden of the White House yesterday morning as she accompanied Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, President Obama, and the president’s nominee for the position, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of Dartmouth for the announcement of the nomination. Here are some nice pictures of the event. Congratulations to Dr. Kim!

ABOUT THIS BLOG
This private blog is in no way affiliated with Hillary Clinton, the State Department, or any campaign. It is not about a political party or an election. It is about Hillary Clinton's work. It is intended solely to support, promote, and appreciate Hillary Clinton's efforts and not to press into further service a woman who has served so brilliantly and selflessly over her lifetime. As she makes the transition from top diplomat to citizen diplomat, we hope to find ways to continue sharing her achievements with her followers all over the world. Whatever the future brings, she will remain our role model, our North Star, and our conscience.
Thank you for everything, Mme. Secretary!!!!

Thank you for all of your dedicated service and brilliant leadership!

@U.S. Senate: Time to ratify LOST!

"... ratify the Law of the Sea Convention, which has provided the international framework for exploring these new opportunities in the Arctic. We abide by the international law that undergirds the convention, but we think the United States should be a member, because the convention sets down the rules of the road that protect freedom of navigation, provide maritime security, serve the interests of every nation that relies on sea lanes for commerce and trade, and also sets the framework for exploration for the natural resources that may be present in the Arctic." -HRC, 06-03-12, Tromso Norway

Ratify LOST, posted with vodpodHillary because…

She would NEVER have allowed social safety nets to be "on the table."

Politics & Foreign Policy

"What I have always found is that when it comes to foreign policy, it is important to remember that politics stops at the water's edge." -HRC 11-04-10
What a difference one woman can make!

"...whether it’s here, in the absolute best embassy in the world, or whether it’s in Washington, or whether it’s elsewhere, what a difference one woman can make. And that woman is right here, the woman who needs no introduction, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton." 07.05.10 - Unidentified speaker, Embassy Yerevan

"I deeply resent those who attack our country, the generosity of our people and the leadership of our president in trying to respond to historically disastrous conditions after the earthquake." - HRC 01-26-10
Most Respected

"So, ladies and gentlemen, I give you your Secretary of State, and perhaps the most respected person on the world stage today, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton." - Jon Huntsman 05-23-2010

Oh yeah it burned!!! One prediction is still left….When will Hillary leave State?
Right. I am still betting on sooner rather than later. Kerry has been around DOS a lot lately.
I read that she suggested the new head of the world bank. Hillary said that she would stay throught President Obama’s first term, so I would be surprised if she left before Jan 2013. I guess if Kerry is gonna be the SOS he needs a lot of training I mean months andmonths. I don’t think any SOS got the kind of training he seems to be getting, sadly Hillary you can’t train what you have you are born with it.
Clearly there is NO one who can simply step into her shoes. (Not to mention Kerry would look silly in heels.)

First thing that came to mind.
Dustin Hoffman looked better as a woman than Kerry would. He reminds me of Lurch from the Adams Family.

OMG!!! (((
))) ROTFL!!! BTW – I figured out how the DNC has my email addy. Nothing to do with 2008. I sent all my $$$ to HRC. But I DID send them $$$ in 2004 – for Lurch and his criminal running mate.
You sent Lurch money? Well, now they have your info.
Right – I mean it wasn’t HRC’s people who gave them my info they had it in 2004.
You should go to Madonna’s FB page and watch her “Girl Gone Wild” video. Guys in heels. Haha! ;D Seriously, I wouldn’t want to see Kerry even try. Talk about a picture.
Apparently Hillary and Bill lobbied for Kim. I guess Obama listened to them.
soooo beautiful
when i saw this the song “we’re following the leader, the leader, the leader” came in my head
Oh Gawd, Kerry as SOS. It boggles my mind.
He’s over there so much….
Kerry would do all right as SOS. He’s no Hillary, but I did vote for the guy in 04.
I voted for him too – but the alternative was Dubya. Kerry does not impress with his brain wattage. He’s also terminally self-righteous, condescending, with zero sense of humor. I think he’d be a terrible diplomat.
Well, Ithink he is going to be the one. I don’t see her having Susan Rice over for these events.
