     Hi Marco, I am sure Secretary and President Clinton appreciate sentiments such as yours, especially since you took the pains to express them in English – something I would have failed miserably at in your language.    I’d love to see Hillary’s photos when she came to Ottawa (Canada’s capital) and skated back in 1995 with Aline Chretien (ex Prime Minister’s wife) at Rideau Canal while hubby Bill held talks there.

   She graced Canada with her presence just last month–raising quite a stir for her absolutely sensible suggestion that the Inuit aboriginals and a couple of other Nordic countries be included at the Arctic discussion table!

   Hillary also spoke her mind on the abortion issue and said that you can’t have family planning without contraception and safe, legal abortions when needed!

   It’s hard to believe, but apart from a few televangelical, extremely right-wing neanderthal types, she won the Hearts of most Canadians who loved her!

   Hillary was formally asked by a couple of national papers if she wanted to be The Official Opposition!

   Over 74% of all Canadians support enlightened policies and Dr. Henry Morgenthaler, a pioneering Canadian Abortion Doctor, received the Order of Canada last year.

   Hillary is an International Ambassador for girls and women and all that is sane, sensible and, at the same time, Visionary!

   Hillary for Prime Minister of Canada!

   She certainly would sweep the votes up here…..

     I have heard this before, recently, from above the border. We were not getting that message down here. The press was negative on those comments, and when I defended her, I got spammed (at my other blog) by a French Canadian woman who might also be a journalist. She put up whole articles in the comments. But you are correct, they were perfectly reasonable remarks. I am glad to know the people of Canada appreciate her, but I thought so from the beginning, when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year in that red pantsuit and Twitter was full of tweets about her wearing red for Canada.

     Now if Harper would just ban the seal hunt… I keep writing to him.
