These are all from her press availability with Romanian Foreign Minister Baconschi.
She also me with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, but there was no press availability. There are issues. The Turkey-Brazil-Iran nuclear deal preceding that attack by the Israeli Navy on a ship flying the Turkish flag. Months ago I said I was keeping my eye on Davutoglu. He seems to be something of a male version of Hillary and has gravitas, especially in Europe, I think. I would like to be a fly on the wall when these two get together, because I also think he is somewhat impervious to her personal charms that work so well on the men (as discussed here at length yesterday).
Anyone can be charmed. One just has to know what buttons to push. Qureshi and Milliband were easy for her to figure out – some strategic eyelash-fluttering and whatnot and presto – they melted. She needs to figure out how to handle this guy. Maybe he will find their equity in the areas of gravitas and international notoriety comforting – she knows how it feels to have most of the world watching, ect… He might prefer having that to the “girlfriend experience” most of these guys seem to like.
Don’t worry, she’s working on him.

He might prefer that – my original impression was that he did. Yesterday’s meeting was surely more along those lines than the “hospitality” Romanian FM Baconschi referred to.
Good thing she’s an ace shortstop because it’s a double-header with her against both Turkey and Israel. She’s catch everything they lob, though.
