Well for those thirsty for news about the Secretary of State, finally there is some! (I mean as opposed to gossip about meals at Babette’s and wine-tastings that have graced my screen since she has had the nerve to take a few days off.) P.J. Crowley, in today’s press briefing, outlined a little of what she has been doing (while resting in East Hampton), and what she will be doing over the next several days.

And I expect between now and Wednesday, she’ll have a handful of meetings with her counterparts as we prepare for the President’s dinner on Wednesday night and the meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Abbas here at the State Department on Thursday.
I know tomorrow, she will meet with Foreign Minister Aboul Gheit of Egypt and General Soliman, who is the head of the Egyptian Intelligence Services. The two of them regularly interact with the Secretary and George Mitchell on Middle Eastern developments. I would expect she’ll have other meetings that are still being set up. She talked over the weekend with EU Special Representative Tony Blair. He will also be in town this week to participate in the dinner.”
According to a Somali source, her Iftar Dinner will be held Tuesday, September 7. It is not going to be an easy week for her, and while I know we will all be happy to see her out and about again, I find it a little sad that her short break is over since it was interspersed with work.
Madame Secretary, welcome back. We missed you, and hope you enjoyed your miniscule break. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Yeah! news lol I was going through serious withdrawl, I mean I love that she had dinner out with bill, marc, chelsea and her mom and got her drink on(woman after my own heart), but man what a drought this was, although we know hillary has jan brewer in a tizzy.

I had family visiting and missed all the fun? Wine tasting? Dinner? How did I miss all the cute news? And I don’t know how effective working while resting would be. Might make for some very… uhh… interesting phone calls. 😉
Glad we’ll be getting new photos and suchand I’m sure that Madame Secretary is working hard to normalize relations with the president of the Republic of Arizona.

Awwww … it was just an little comment in a gossip column about the whole family, Dorothy included, eating at Babette’s. Hillary had falafel and Bill had the “diet meal. They went to a winery, tasted many NY State wines and bought some. Chelsea and Marc also there. That was it.

Brewer went on greta and told lies and attacked hillary. Brewer believes that the UN is going to tell arizona what to do. The UN has no contol over anything,it was just a report.
I respect hillary,but will lose respect for her if she ever goes on greta after what greta allowed brewer to do to hillary. It was worse than with the normal hillary haters do because I think hillary may think greta is a friend.

I think she DOES consider Greta a friend. I’m sorry I missed that! Well, Greta might offer Hillary a chance at a response, which, her considering having to deal with Abbas-Netanyahu AND the Iraq transition, just might not be a high priority right now.
Perhaps she would be able to send the Assistant Secretary for Western Hemispheric Affairs, Arturo Valenzuela. After all, Arizona is our hemispheric neighbor.

I hope she does not anymore,because greta is no different than olbermann. Hillary goes on cnn,fox,msnbc and knows these people are not friends and are trying to screw her over(sorry for language) and she is guarded. Hillary is open with greta.
Rachel Maddow took 2 minutes to destroy brewer’s letter to hillary. Greta had a whole segment with brewer and not one challenge or correction. Greta told brewer if hillary contacts you,please let us know. Greta made no effort to get a statement from hillary.

Republicans tend to get paranoid anytime someone mentions the U.N. regardless of the context. Hillary will probably address it the next time she makes the rounds of the Sunday morning talk shows. I didn’t see Jan Brewer on Greta tonight, so I can’t comment on that.

I think Jan Brewer is just blowing a whole lot of smoke. It’s ridiculus. I mean we as a country can’t continue to go around the world and condem countires violations of civil rights without looking at our own countries problems. Now we got crazies who want to take away birthright citiizenship(if that’s the case excatly what do you have to do to be a citizen), 30,000 mostly minority people waiting just to get their name on an application for government housing etc. Jan Brewer needs to take a chill pill while she is screaming about states right all the while begging for FEDERAL man power.

I agree with you. Hillary just needs to be careful,because greta and her husband in 2008 are not the same greta and her husband in 2010.
After the 2008 primaries it seemed that hillary an bill looked around and saw who their friends are and those that just used them and were never their friends. They seem to have got rid of the users and their toxic vibes.
