Should I be in any way surprised that this news comes, not from a U.S. news source, nor (even) from her own State Department sources, but rather, as almost everything has come this trip, from a foreign news source? I guess not! *sigh* According to this report, she has left Australia, and my best guess is that she is either in America Samoa or has already left.
Safe home, Mme. Secretary! Our thoughts and prayers are always with you!
Hillary Clinton wraps up 7-nation Asia-Pacific tour
United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton flew out of Australia on Monday, wrapping up her seven-stop tour to the Asia-Pacific region.

She may have left Australia, but the Aussies are still feeling Hillary-love, literally! Between this and the Tom Junod article, I feel like Hillary is caught in a twilight zone of sorts that brings her back to the Summer of Love!

I can’t think of two words that should more appropriately be hyphenated and collocated. 😀

Sorry for late reply. Tom Junod wrote an Esquire profile on Hillary dated May 12, 2010. It’s a bit Esquire-ish, though largely positive. I posted this a think a couple of posts below, and I said to S4H that I couldn’t help but feel that Junod was trying to undress Hillary through his writing — since writing about her as First Lady (at the time of the Lewinsky scandal) through her Senate run, Junod came across as pissed at Bill for shaming his wife, fascinated by how Hillary could take it all with her head high, trying to go inside her mind and her heart in trying to understand how and why she does what she does. I call it pseudo-Freudian psychobabble (no offense meant to psychologists), but maybe what Junod is trying to do is see the WOMAN behind the public mask. But overall it’s a good profile.

He wrote one in 1999 when she was running for the Senate. The title was “Hillary Clinton Has A Sexy Mouth.” His thesis question was “Would you?” And his response was, “Yes, I would… vote for her.” He went on to turn the word “vote” into a metaphor for … well … what starts with undressing her.
A lot of fierce, militant women might call it sexist. I, personally, after all the criticism of her looks and body that I consider thoroughly uncalled for, unfair, and out-of-line, found it refreshing that a man was pretty direct in showing his appreciation of what we now refer to as the Secretarial Assets.
