Happy New Year Mme. Secretary, Mr. President, and everyone here! Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and healthy 2011. Have a safe trip, Mme. Secretary!
In one of her last public appearances as Senator from New York, Hillary Clinton joined her husband and Mayor Mike Bloomberg to drop the ball in Times Square and welcome in the year 2009.
Happy New Year, Still4Hill!!! And thank you for all the work you do on this blog.
Methinks we shall all be busy, busy, busy in 2011.

Best to you, Jen! Thanks for all of your support! I HOPE we will be busy! Wondering how Mme. Secretary is reacting to the appointment of an ambassador to Syria.

Her reaction probably involved certain four-letter words that we will never hear her say on television.

I have the hardest time trying to imagine words like that coming out of her! She has such an awesome vocabulary. It just seems to me she doesn’t need to resort to those.

There is a time and place for every word. I wouldn’t be surprised if she uses the occasional expletive.

People I know have quoted a few, so I guess she does. I just have a hard time imagining it. Not that I don’t … occasionally. I’m no puritan.

They were showing a little of the video from that year on CNN last night. So cute, they were singing and dancing.

♥ I was just wondering where they celebrated NYE yesterday. If Hillary went to Brazil in the morning, then she very likely went from DC.

Well, Brasilia is 3 hours ahead of EST. My guess is that she left very early in the morning – maybe just after midnight. It’s a long flight, too. So I guess D.C. I have not found a single picture of her there! 😦

I hope Hillary wasn’t the one singing. 🙂

Yes, she was! I had forgotten – or maybe they didn’t show that where I was watching. As I remember, there was a lot of publicity about her dropping the ball, but then the channels didn’t really show her.

And they made sure not to cover any potential kiss. I was out in the city with friends (several of whom had voted for Hillary) and we were all like “What?! They don’t even kiss on New Year’s?!” The Clinton’s got no air time and they looked very un-couple-ish (if Dubya can create words, so can I) when they were on camera. I chalked it up to all the Obamania leading up to his inauguration.

There’s one kiss in the slideshow that one of the H_D girls found after months of searching.

It shouldn’t have been so hard to find. Everybody’s getting kissed on New Year’s. You’d have to assume that it would have to happen.
By the way, I love that he turned them away from their audience. That’s cute. It’s as private as a kiss in Times Square can be.

You’re right, it shouldn’t have been so hard to find, and it is cute. I think Hillary learns a lesson once, even from other people and monitors herself. She will never ler an Al/Tipper kiss happen when cameras are around.

still4hill…….Happy New Year!! I appreciate all your work here and I’m still for Hill………… of course!
In 2008 I was hoping that all the Hillary supporters and other groups would form some united front and have a big unified voice, sorta like the tea party only greater .

Happy New Year, Rose, and thank you!
Yes, in 2008 it did look like that could happen, but what we saw was the Tea Party infiltrating the Hillary groups and turning them to Palin. They’ll start some kind of monkey business this week again, I’m sure. They started something last January 4 on Facebook. I ended up leaving some groups and blocking some people.

That’s it! I declare this Anti-Tea-Party week. Who want’s a cappuccino?
