Perhaps I’m being a little hard on the President. He just came back from a tour of three Latin American countries and perhaps there’s a reason why we can’t seem to find him anywhere. You know, sometimes it’s difficult remembering what we should and should not eat when traveling to certain areas. If that is the case and he is dealing with the after effects of a poorly thought out midnight snack, I’m sorry. I can completely understand why the leader of the free world wouldn’t make a televised statement to the nation if he knew he’d need a potty break halfway through it. If that is the case, I take back my criticism and apologize sincerely to President Obama.
Otherwise, I’m still waiting for that address.

That never seems to affect HRC. She came back from a marathon 4 week tour in Fall 2009 and hit the ground running at an early cabinet meeting after a MONTH of countries, then did her DC stuff like she had been here all along. Check the archives. Plus, it harder at her age than at his. No, sorry! He wanted this job, and he needs to do it or step aside. Sooner rather than later. He is a wimp. Men don’t have the stamina.

No need to apologize as far as I’m concerned.
Say, I don’t hear too much about Hillary’s health. I read an interview of her done by some young guy and he commented on how she met him with damp hair because she went swimming that morning. He remarked about watching her on the beach (I don’t know which country she was in) and how alone/singular she seemed to him. I’ll bet she’s got some common-sense stuff she does everyday.

Yes, that was Jonathan Van Meter for Vogue. She went out swimming in the morning just for herself, and he thought it was sad.

When I search for the article I mostly come up with… me! I do have the hard copy, though.
I thought it was sad, too. She loves to swim. And he found her really pretty after having a swim all by herself.

He did a very nice article on Hillary. I bought the magazine. He went with her on that multi-nation African trip. She went for a swim in that last country they stopped before returning to the US. He met with her after that swim and her hair was till damp, he thought that she looked pretty.

I should add that, in the article, Jonathan relates that he picked up a stomach virus and was very ill. Hillary sent her doctor, who travels with her. He characterized her as some actress we would all know, but I forget. Anyway, she gave him medications that she carries for Hillary that are very expensive, but they have carried ever since H.W. Bush vomited on the Japanese PM (I think). She can’t be sick. And her doctor has EVERYTHING!

I’m not saying he gets a pass if he just doesn’t feel like talking to us, but I’m recognizing that he is human who makes mistakes and can offend his intestines just like the rest of us. Hillary is very careful, but like the reporter from Vogue who was taken ill after a salad in Africa, it can catch anyone off guard. The only excuse I will accept for his ignoring this is if he not well. Otherwise, this is a major abdicattion of responsiblity. It’s unlikely that he is quarentined in the Presidential restroom, but not imposible and, in a situation like that, having the world sniping at you would seem little more personal than usual. I want responsible leadership, but I don’t want to be mean.

There is a pic of BO in Brazil, I think, looking as pale as can be and like he’s a little boy wearing his dad’s suit. Like you say, he may be sick. I’m just afraid, on so many levels, he’s just not strong enough for this job.

I fear he IS sick. Illness is idiopathic until we find the source. I can’t guess. Things look bleak. Until you look at the DOS. Hillary looks pretty good.

Yes, he wanted this job. The problem is that he wasn’t ready for it. That was one of my biggest complaints about him during the primaries. How could someone who was a state senator and who had barely been in the US senate a short time be prepared to run the last super power during its worst economic times since the Great Depression? It was only his hubris and arrogance, plus the stupidity of many people, who to actually think that he would be ready on “Day One”.
Now we are paying the consequences. I’m disgusted with the Democratic Party that shoved this man down our throats.
Hillary would have been a far more effective president and CIC. She had already been in the WH for 8 years and seen what the job entailed. She was no rookie.

Its an omen that he was locked out of the white house. He is not doing his job. Its quite sad. What will he do when he really has to campaign? I meam bill cant take over all the press conferences and hillary cant continue to do his job and hers.

I didn’t know that was REAL. I thought Jay Leno doctored it! I think it’s a testament to how disorganized his White House is. How loosely it is managed and how disruptive his boys are when he’s not home raised its head back in 2009 when he went to Cairo and Hillary went first to an OAS meeting and then to Cairo for “The Big Speech.” The “guys” (read fraternity bros) back home thought it would be funny. They must have had a beer all or 20. They re-routed Hillary’s voicemail to a phone-porn number.
Yeah, they have the tech skills. Judgment? None!

Her voicemail?! I thought it was a conference call between her and members of the press where the press were calling her and got a phone sex line. Oooh, her voicemail. That’s not cool. Her family couldn’t leave her messages. If it had lead to a story about Bill calling a sex line, I can only imagine the depth or her fury. Not cool, boys, not cool.

After her address my father was talking about how badly he thinks she’s been treated by this administration and fussing about how she deserves better. My mother says he’s learning. I’m just stunned.

He’s always been a little protective of her when I get a little mean about her sartorial choices. Example: Chuckling about that bright orange suit is ok, but saying that it makes her behind look like a giant pumpkin is not cool and he will defend her. He’s just getting pretty fed up with how Obama and Co. seem to be treating her, like when she was sent back to Paris after having been there about three days before. That got him annoyed. He doesn’t like her politics, would never elect her to any office, but he still defends her. Go figure.
