These pictures only capture part of this long day, believe it or not, and there are 70 of them. They are in no particular order or grouping. We see Mme. Secretary once again celebrating Twin Day with Chancellor Merkel (I believe that every time they have met, they have matched). We also see her with a series of Foreign Ministers, including Guido Westerwelle (Germany), William Jefferson Hague, (UK), Trinidad Jimenez (Spain), Kevin Rudd (Australia), as well as with NATO Secretary General Rasmussen, and many others. I am always impressed by the way she puts out such a friendly, smiling, happy face for us. She wins friends for us everywhere she goes.
Thank you, Mme. Secretary for working so tirelessly for us.
Is that a wink I see? Well, I guess as long as she doesn’t start waging war on the English language and people smarter than Cheese Whiz, I’ll let it slide.

It is most definitely a wink! I love that pic!

She was having a “cute day” today.

So cute! Thank you! When I see her like that I wonder how anybody could be mean to her. But I have seen it, so I know that can be.

You know how they can be mean to your girl. She is powerful, she’s married to someone powerful, they are both human and therefore imperfect. Those who disagree with her or her spouse and have forgotten that they too have feet of clay can attack her flaws and failings with no regard for what elements of their own characters are on display.

Yes, I do know. There are people who never were taught to examine their consciences. It’s one of the reasons I began blogging about HRC in the first place – to defend her and keep her in perspective. I won’t reach the meanies. I know that. I just want to offer their listeners and readers the truth.

Right on Still. I know many of the meanies don’t even have a clue about her or what her mission is. If they did I believe they would change their meaness. thank you for your continued blog and the right perspective about our girl. I am so proud of her.

OMG she and Angela didn’t match today 😦 i’m actually a little disappointed.
um…this one is pretty…intense?…..is that the word we would use?…

LikeLike
Actually they did, because HRC’s jacket may look blue, but it’s purple, and so is Angela’s. HRC’s was a bluer version and AM’s was a redder tint, but they both wore purple, and so did I!

It reminded me of this one which is bad considering who her partner is in my photo. Random diplomats should not be getting as passionate with her as her husband is allowed to.

Oh WOW! That one is so rare. I have never seen it before! I LOVE IT!

Maybe Hillary didn’t have her glasses on today, and mistook FM Rudd for her squire.

LOL! She must have a really strong prescription!

And we’re all lucky she and Bill aren’t very demonstrative in public or FM Rudd might’ve gotten more than he bargained for.

Everyone else gets a handshake. She gets hugs and kisses. I don’t get it. What about her says “Hug me,”?

I was at a big deal meeting today. I got hugs and kisses, and the other women got handshakes. I think it has to do with your history with the people involved and how you approach each other. I’m always ready for a hug and a kiss, or two (Euro-style). That’s what I got.

Some people are just more huggable, I guess.

It’s kind of like the wink thing, isn’t it? For some people the gesture works and for others it’s awkward.

I don’t really know. I know what works for me. The same things also work for her (with monumentally more importance).

Maybe that’s why you like her so much – you can see where she’s coming from. You “get” her, so to speak.

Yes, exactly! That was what I noticed when she was campaigning for the Senate! From that point forward, I “got” her.

I’m glad you blog about her. It helps her make more sense to those of us who don’t “get” her all that much.
