Hillary 2012: Democrats Find a New Target for Hope and Change
By Alex Moore Monday, August 08, 2011Why Democrats don’t mean it when they say they’ve given up on the whole “hope-y change-y” thing.
The Daily Beast reports today that Democratic voters are abandoning the Obama “hope and change” boat in droves, and pining for what they perceive as the superior leadership potential of Hillary Clinton.
From The Telegraph.
Democrats doubt Barack Obama’s reelection chances
By Alex Spillius, Washington
On his nightly television show, liberal host Bill Maher dismissed Mr Obama as a Republican, and asked his panel if Mrs Clinton would have made a better president.
“Yes,” replied astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, an African American astrophysicist and broadcaster, adding that the Secretary of State would have been “a more effective negotiator in the halls of Congress”.

This is the second one from The Daily Beast, no?

Yes, the second. I am not even keeping score on the HuffPo ones. Seems there is a new one every day.

You’re right about that. At least those of us who really listened for content rather than form.

Just to put things into perspective though, people have been writing these kinds of “Run, baby, run,” articles about Jeb Bush, Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, and Chris Christie for a while now and they haven’t joined in the primary fracas. While these articles about the Secretary of State’s political prowess do reflect the sentiments of a healthy sized portion of the population, they don’t mean that she’ll act on their requests.
James Carville coming out with a comment, coded and vague though it was, was interesting.

Oh absolutely! Just sharing what’s out there – for the record.
Those in the Hillary FB groups know that there was a long period of time when item one on the agenda was getting her attention – how to do it?
Well, finally, the media has helped that to happen. One thing is certain – now she knows.

I’ll bet all these rumors make those White House meetings a little extra fun for their “people”. It was said that State and White House personnel are leery of each other at best – a.k.a. never got over 2008 the way their bosses have.

I’ve seen that comment, too. One thing I have to say is that I have seen leaks from a wide variety of inside sources. (No, I do not share them here.) There is a great deal of consistency to what I see coming from inside.

The stories from the Huffington Post are very surprising to me because they, long with Taylor Marsh were very two faced when it came to Hillary.

You are not alone in that. I don’t want to over-analyze it, but Arianna was a huge supporter. I would think she tried talking to him before turning on him, but since his MO is simply to throw people under the bus, maybe she, like Cornell west, simply never got a return call. If that is the case, I cannot fathom what the Obama campaign is thinking.
