Thanks to Bea, we have this video clip of Mme. Secretary leaving for the office this morning.
Vodpod videos no longer available. Here she is in her 9:15 meeting with the assistant secretaries. She looks great!
We love Mme. Secretary’s sense of humor, and clearly her staff does as well. They presented her with the “Football Helmet of State” to protect her brilliant head and a football jersey to go along with it.
Yes, she does!!! It’s great to see her out and looking as lovely as usual.
Here’s a CNN clip on her departure this morning from her home.

You’re welcome!! I love that coat too. It was cute that 75 of her staffers welcomed her back with a helmet and jersey. They and she have a good sense of humor.

I love that coat too. This is contact sport and she should wear that helmet every day. LOL!

You know, ever since she landed in Afghanistan wearing that coat, I have wondered whether she either bought it there on another trip or if perhaps it was a gift from someone there. I bet she met with Karzai today – even though he was not on her schedule.

That is typical Afghan embroidery, I think it must have been a gift. I heard on radio that she will meet Karzai on Friday.

I like to see that tall man as her security guard since it means business mode for her again.

Yep, she does. I think that she had her hair trimmed. It looks a little shorter.

I’m sure that she loved it. She has a terrific sense of humor. Remember when she broke her elbow and her sling had the State Dept. seal on it? LOL!!!

[…] Hillary Clinton’s final month at the State Department began with her in the hospital being treated for a blood clot that was discovered during tests related to a concussion sustained when she fainted at home the month before. Early January reports stated that she was working from her hospital room, but Mme. Secretary did not want grass growing under her kitten heels. On January 2, she left the hospital for home. For a few days, her public schedule stated that she had no public events, but on January 7, she returned to the office. […]
