Secret Service Looking Into Radio Host’s Graphic Violent Comments About Obama, Hillary Clinton
The Secret Service is following up on recent comments by right wing radio host Pete Santilli, who claimed to want to shoot former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the vagina and see President Obama tried and shot for treason.
“We are aware of Mr. Santilli’s comments and will take the appropriate follow up action,” Edwin M. Donovan, a Secret Service spokesperson, told TPM on Monday. “He certainly has a right to free speech, but the Secret Service has a right and an obligation to determine what a person’s intent is when making comments like this.”
He made the threatening comments the week before last on his eponymous Internet based radio program. Santilli is a fringe figure who has made threatening comments on his program in the past. But he’s gained some quasi-mainstream attention recently with guests like Ted Nugent and Gun Owners of America director Larry Pratt.

When someone starts ranting about killing the Secretary of State and the President on our airwaves, he needs to be investigated and his show needs to be taken off the air. That kind of talk is dangerous; it has nothing to do with dissent and debate. I am all for free speech, but there’s a certain line you don’t cross and this sick individual crossed it!

I agree. Whackos incentivizing more whackos is a dangerous situation. There is a line that was crossed here, and I am sure all of us are relieved to know the SS is on this guy’s case.

Apparently the SS received various complaints. The audio clip of this guy’s threats went viral and many people were upset. It’s not just that he threatened to kill Hillary (also Obama and the Bushes), but it was in the highly sexualized way that he intended to do it. He sounded like a sexual sadist. The whole thing was very disturbing.

Lord! Really? It took all that? I am glad they are on his case, but it should not have taken complaints. It is sexual sadism. He is a monster who should not be allowed within 500 miles of Hillary Clinton. But worse, there is a Charles Manson kind of ability for him to influence others as long as he is allowed to have this talk show.

When I saw this story and listened to some of the clip, I had to click it off. It was beyond even anything we’d heard in 07-08 – and we heard vile violence galore back then. He will no doubt be carving a sign into his forehead someday.

I think the pic on that other article is of the guy who wrote the article. Santilli’s pic was all over all the other articles about what he said – the ones I was not willing to post about until I knew the SS was aware of his remarks.
