Hillary was in top form with Fareed Zakaria on this morning’s GPS. She was bright, cheerful, specific, firm, and clear on her positions. Responding to a broad range of questions, she displayed circumspection with regard to nations and populations as well as to individual actors on the world stage.
Thanks for the clips. I searched CNN for the whole interview but they only have these little sound byte fragments of the show.
I recall a debate answer she gave about Putin and Medvedev – she hit it right on the nose in 08 and now.

Karen, when I watched the interview on CNN, I too recalled that debate q&a. She certainly was absolutely on the money on it. And, yes, Putin is quite a manipulator – the opposite of “what you see is what you get”.

I’m surprised that this interview didn’t garner more press. Clearly, Hillary brought her A game: She was clear, specific and, perhaps most importantly, candid and intentional. She made overt slaps at Putin; discussed Medvedev, pronouncing his name correctly a handful of times (think ’08 gotcha journalism); and she coyly slapped down Obama, too. At one point — making a reference to a meeting between Putin and Obama in Cabos — she hinted that other world leaders just don’t respect him, saying, “he kept him waiting for forty-five minutes,” with a look on her face that every neighborhood gossip has as she spreads the news over coffee with her gals. It was beautiful! Brava, Hillary! And job well-done to her team who prepped her.

She was so clear and concise. I agree this should have gotten more press- but they only want sound bites not substance. I am excited to see her interview with Jorge Ramos tonight on Fusion. I enjoyed his interview with Bill a few months ago.

This was one of her best interviews. She gave us a clear view of her work as Sec. of State. To bad the media lost a great chance to see this amazing Lady really give us insight on her work as one of the top diplomats of our country.
GPS did a great job.
