Hillary Clinton was back at the State Department today to join predecessors Henry Kissinger, James Baker, Madeleine Albright, and Colin Powell as well as her successor, John Kerry, for a ceremonial ground-breaking. The U.S. Diplomacy Center, located near the Harry S. Truman Building, will be a museum and education center that will ‘demonstrate the ways in which diplomacy matters now and has mattered throughout American history
What an amazing lineup of exceptional leaders and public servants!
Right now, this is all I have. If a transcript comes through, I will add it here.

Looks like she was having fun but also looks like she was touched deeply by the importance of the occasion. Condi and Shultz MIA. The shovels are engraved.
The next part of the “Hard Choices” chapter review is a rough one and surely it is very well documented in your files here. Lots of work putting the links to the archives together for each part of her book. I know I cried throughout her explanations of the events when I read that part. Very moving and crystal clear throughout. I really despise the people who attacked her and who still are despite the fact that all that could be done was done. Those people should visit the Diplomacy Center when it is completed so they can begin to comprehend how un-American they are for yelling the B word over and over for years. They do a dis-service to the lives lost and to our country. Fox is never mentioned by name but she points out they (and members of congress) spewed egregious lies and created dangerous situations by playing low ball politics. They are filth.

I cried too. In fact last night when I was working on it I told a friend that one question I would love to ask Hillary is whether she became emotional writing it.
