Data2X is a partnership Hillary launched in July 2012 to identify gender data gaps and spur efforts to fill them. Better gender data are needed to guide policies, set targets, and monitor progress for women and girls. Today’s event brought together leading experts for a discussion on the vital role data plays in closing gender gaps, and how lack of data can inhibit progress for women and girls globally.
Hosted by Michael Bloomberg in New York, the event was a team effort sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies , the Clinton Foundation represented by Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, and the United Nations Foundation represented by President and CEO Kathy Calvin.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry sometimes. The very same people who made it clear in 2008 that they wanted Barack Obama to be president, not Hillary Clinton, are now acting as if SHE is president and should provide leadership on every hot button issue that comes along. We have a president, and it’s not Hillary. She is a private citizen. Isn’t that what they wanted?

It’s pretty revolting! One moment they say don’t act entitled the next minute they want to know why she’s not speaking on every single thing at every single moment. Hillary doesn’t owe anyone anything. They are not hounding any of the other prospect 2016 candidates like they are hounding her. The progressives can yell all they want for Elizabeth Warren to run, but what kind of bridges has she built across the isle to get things done? What kind of relationships has she built senators/ governors etch has she built that she will need to have to get things done. This was one of the major Problems Barrack had and continues to have he has built no good will with those he nees to help govern, it would be the same thing with Elizabeth. This one of the biggest problems progressives have they think they don’t have to work with anyone to get get stuff done or make no compromises.

Ah! Michael Goodwin, another right winger cheering Elizabeth on. He certainly overstates Warren’s current support, and there is NO WAY Obama would support Warren over Hillary. That said, with the help of the media all things are possible. And Republicans would much prefer EW for many reasons. His point about if she had succeeded on scuttling the Cromnibus, the Dems would have been cooked is accurate. The Dem Ted Cruz with no planB would still be adored by gentry liberals and media, no doubt.

i’m not worried about EW. hillary has very strong grassroots support among dems – including liberals. the DC media can drool about her all they want.

Yep. And if E.W. said she was running they would all not want to hear a single thing from HRC. And they would not care that EW arrived in the big league just recently and has only made a name for herself regarding banking. SIGH. Thankfully, Warren has more sense than the erstwhile Obama zombies.

The gentry liberals who gave us the last messiah now have a new messiah! You would think that they would stop looking for a messiah and start looking for a president. Warren, in particular, seems more interested in blowing deals and nominations up than in governing. Fine for a Senator; disastrous in a president.

hillary would be a better president than candidate, meaning her best skills are in governing, not campaigning. and that’s not to impugn her campaigning skills – i just know she’d be an outstanding president.
