There has never been a better time to be born female. That’s the conclusion of a sweeping new global report that Chelsea, Melinda Gates, and I were thrilled to unveil yesterday morning. It’s called The Full Participation Report, and we can’t wait for you to see for yourself the gains that women and girls have made around the world – as well as the gaps that remain.
At NoCeilings.org, you can explore more than two decades of data from more than 190 countries and the compelling stories of women and girls from around the world that make all the statistics come alive.
We’re excited for you to dig into this data yourself – to use it, share it, learn from it, and get motivated by it. You can learn something fast or take a deep dive into the areas that interest you most. I hope you’ll visit the site today.
It’s been twenty years since the 1995 UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, where the international community pledged to work toward the full participation of women and girls in all aspects of life. Today, two decades later, it’s time to take stock.
Visit NoCeilings.org to see how far we’ve come. There are real gains to celebrate, including more laws protecting the rights of women, more girls going to primary school, and more mothers getting access to services that can keep them healthy. Yet despite this progress, significant gaps remain around the world, including in the United States, especially in the areas of security, economic opportunity, and leadership. The evidence is clear: When it comes to gender equality, we’re just not there yet.
This data proves that progress is indeed possible, but it is not inevitable. More needs to be done to fulfill our promise and ensure that every woman and girl has the opportunity to live up to her God-given potential.
Visit NoCeilings.org to explore the gains and the gaps.
We all have a role to play in building a world of shared prosperity and opportunity. Join us as we work together to make full participation a reality in the 21st century.
Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Email from Hillary Clinton: Never a better time
March 10, 2015 by still4hill
The press are lined up to get last minute credentials for a Hillary availability after her UN visit. The article I read said the line isn’t moving and the press is getting antsy and not happy campers. Ohhhh, so sorry for them, tsk, tsk.
They will not be happy with the lack of drama on the issue either. They wanted a big story and instead will get simple answers. Ohhhh, so sorry for them. wink

i think we can also safely predict hillary will be asked the same questions 10, 15 times.

and they still will walk away with the intention of making it sexier in their wrong reports.

that’s the frustrating part, but we’ve come to almost expect it now. Surprise us, media!

the presser just ended, pyw. do you need to see it to know hillary knocked it out of the park? nope. nailed it as expected. She is awesome and so ready for anything, anytime, anywhere. I love how this also brought some attention to women’s equality. they still won’t report on that, but they had to listen to it.

i know there were some people who were making fun of her saying she wishes she had had two email accounts, but then i heard nothing after that, so i’m guessing she kicked butt.
what kid of questions were asked?

Idiot pundits-like Gergen-still say that the Clintons act as if they’re above the rules, when the truth is that the rules are always different for the Clintons.
Why shouldn’t Hillary Clinton delete her private emails like everybody else in the world?

The media make up the rules from day to day, and always in favor of themselves.

the clintons have been the most-investigated political couple in u.s history. to say they think they’ve above the rules is ridiculous. if anything, they’re subject to a constant double standard.
the press will keep changing the goal posts, and never be satisfied with anything hillary does.

That’s my point. The Clintons are subject to a whole set of different rules.
The media is still salivating over all those Clinton “scandals” that proved to be nothing at all.

Sue, did you see the video of Carville ranting the same thing? He was always on her side but when the RBC screwed her and PUMA formed, he came out and put his feet on camera in a brand new pair of PUMA sneakers.
here’s the rant on you tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbkoQCK762I

Thanks, Karen, that was great. It was really interesting to see Mrs. Greenspan scared shitless about any criticism of the New York Times.
I’ve always admired Carville and love is blind, but it’s hard to understand how he’s made a life with Mary Matlin. Well, none of my business.

just saw hillary’s comments. i thought she did very well and was amazingly patient with the dumb questions. for example, she was asked how the public can know she didn’t delete work emails. um, it doesn’t matter BECAUSE THEY’D BE PRESERVED BY THE PERSON SHE SENT THEM TO, AS THE VAST MAJORITY OF EMAILS SHE SENT WERE TO PEOPLE ON GOVERNMENT ADDRESSES.
also, let’s be honest: if hillary did something she wanted covered up (and not that she would), she wouldn’t be dopey enough to write an email about it in the first place, lol.

People like to believe any about the Clintons. If Hillary was distrustful of the media as people claim she take Lindsay graham’s approach and never send an email. I am sure the press realizes there is nothing to it as far as them asking how do the know she didn’t delete anything. Everyone except teens knows that nothing like that is ever deleted really. Why don’t they just ask NSA that agency has been spying on government officials and private citizens for years.

They know they can access all of it via what “Chelsea” Manning released. That was why she had to go on that ‘apology tour’ afterwards.
