On the road again! Tweets marked [-H] are from Hillary.
Bon voyage, Mme Secretary! Have a safe and successful trip. We love you!
Road trip! Loaded the van & set off for IA. Met a great family when we stopped this afternoon. Many more to come. -H

Clinton is riding in a van, which she has nicknamed “Scooby,” don’t you just love her. She is amazing. She must be having a great time. This is great. God bless and be safe Madam Secretary. We all love you.

Road trip! LOVE IT! A comment on a previous post suggested she do some of the driving. I’m sure she would love to, but even if she were the greatest driver in the world, the Secret Service would never allow it. She must be driven by someone trained in evasive driving maneuvers. I never understood why not driving makes her an elitist anyway. Lots of people don’t drive for lots of reasons. It’s a classic red herring.

Biden doesn’t drive now either. He misses it and if I remember correctly he drove a car in a driveway at the White House just to feel the wheel and pedal for a minute again.

Driver – no. President – hell yeah. My sister, almost 70, never drove. I was her taxi many times. She is the smartest of our family but her brain just isn’t auto or video game capable. Hillary is in safe hands and has very important future work to do. God Speed.

Don’t you just love these lefty democrats who just don’t know where Hillary stands on the issues and are with holding support? As if this thing called the internet, or those things called books do not have her clear record on every issue under the sun for decades.
If not her then where are these “dead-enders” going to go?/snark
Didn’t Hillary and Bill support the mayor of NY. First he peeved off the cops and now Clintonistas. He just might be a one-term mayor.

The NY mayor, Bill di Blasio, was Hillary’s campaign manager in her first Senate run, and she recently appeared at an event with his wife. What did he do?

He’ll endorse her eventually. Her campaign probably wants endorsements to come closer to the election.

I lived there for 47 years and NYC loves Hillary and has respect for cops.
He rained on her parade. It was a day to do what Cuomo did – give full throated support. I have seen too many support her in a wishy washy way or like the NY Times did in 2007 – coming out on page one with a full endorsement and then ripping her to shreads for the rest of the primary. It sure seemed to me they endorsed her but instantly supported O.
How many times have you seen news people say nice things about her and then the next day destroy her on the air or in print?
The left have no bargaining chip except for their support or not. In or out. We are talking about her new hometown, her headquarters. Screw him.

His wishy-washiness doesn’t seem to make much sense, but that’s his problem, not Hillary’s. 🙂
She’s got places to go and voters to meet!

Yep, she is gonna be mighty busy. I just saw this – file it in the no good deed goes unpunished file. Now I remember, she did fund raising for him. Clinton supporters tweeted their displeasure to him. Good.

I am sure her campaign is not controlling endorsements. How can they be telling people when to endorse her? I was watching when he did that yesterday. His diffidence blew me away completely after all of the very warm enthusiastic support he has received from both Clintons. He missed the boat yesterday – the big one. There isn’t much he is doing right these days. Who here needs to be told where Hillary stands? He certainly should know as well as we do. I agree with Karen: one-term mayor. He is going to be scrambling to get on a life boat one day and regret his words yesterday.

And it was only a few weeks ago that his wife appeared with Hillary at an event, so i have no idea what’s going on with him. Her campaign headquarters is in his city, and she’s immensely popular in NY. The only thing I can think of is he’s trying to exercise some sort of independence, but he looks like an ungrateful fool instead.
BTW, this is a great read:

This was the event – on April 1. He looks indecisive, and you cannot be indecisive and lead NYC. (Not to mention this decision should have been a no-brainer for him.)

I think this was all about appeasing the far left and not having a primary challenge from them when the time comes. It’s not just wishy washy, after all the support he’s gotten from both Clintons. It’s weasely. Once again, she will learn who her true friends are.

In the end, with the Clintons it is all about loyalty. She deserved a full-throated, ringing endorsement from him right then. That was his national moment! Here, we see him on the local news all the time. That was his moment to make a strong statement well outside the NY metro area, and he blew it.

He should not have forgotten that Christine Quinn is still out there. She can come out with a deafening endorsement of Hillary, primary him, and win. Her thesis can be the same as Hillary’s: There is no such thing as entitlement. he cooked his own goose.

Yesterday was such a big day! So much anticipation! We were in DC (for a conference) and were driving back. At lunch in some italian restaurant, I had my blackberry streaming CNN by my side, just waiting to hear the announcement, which was awaited as they were doing their normal pre-critique. And of course, I was driving the car, often pestering my hubby to check the news. I can tell you, we all rejoiced when the announcement came.
We talked about her accomplishments and strengths, and what she is being critiqued for simply was indeed her strengths and personal preferences… They will realize that. The more they waste time on analyzing her being a female, the more women will get revved up, Times are changing too. there are more men especially parents of girls who know how difficult it is how much much bigger the challenges are for women to rise. Hillary will get support from across the board.
I am absolutely delighted with the video that she launched. No flash. Just reality. And that she is with the ordinary jill and joe of the American households of all kinds. I totally love her down-to-earth message. She has put forth her truest self (which we know already). The message resonates with her.
So pumped!

Well-said! I think Hillary feels more comfortable just being herself than she did in 2008. I can see it already.

Yes Sam, the more they focus on the female thing the more women WILL get revved up. I think this type thing should wake up a few R women to their place in their party and how they are viewed:

Podesta’s brief statement about her officially running said she is going to make climate change and clean energy a focus of her campaign.
As a life-long environmentalist tree-hugger (I admit I saw Al Gore’s movie on the day it came out) who has listed the environment as my #1 concern on Clinton surveys several times – I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait for her to mention, repeatedly, “Climate Change”, especially here in Florida, the state where the Governor notoriously bans it – and the state that has been, is, and will be subject to the more extreme environment.

I was thrilled to see that, too. And it’s a shot across the bow to those cowardly GOP candidates who won’t admit to man-made climate change. She is clearly going to make it an issue in 2016. Good for her!

LOL! Hillary stopped in a Chipotle for lunch yesterday and no one recognized her. I just love this road trip idea. It’s such a contrast to the GOP candidates, who give long-winded speeches the press drools over and then attend fundraisers. So predictable.
Hillary’s the one who’s supposed to be boring because she’s not the new, shiny toy, yet her nascent campaign is creative, fun and off-the-wall. You can tell her campaign team is much more on the ball than last time. And Hillary herself is clearly enjoying herself.
