In a letter dated April 22 and addressed to Trey Gowdy, presiding chair of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, counsel for Hillary Clinton reiterated her desire to appear before the committee publicly so that the American people can hear her respond first-hand to any and all questions remaining on the minds of committee members.
The chairman has chosen to request a private interview with the committee. Hillary, who has nothing to hide and has been more than forthcoming, continues to express her happiness to appear before all of the American people in this venue so that her responses will be public. There is a clear partisan, and therefore political, agenda behind the Republican insistence on a closed forum. Hillary wants an open forum. So do the American people. In fact, we all deserve that!
The letter and its appendices are available here >>>>
We implore Representative Gowdy to open her testimony live to the American public as she would have it. The sooner the better! Doing otherwise is unfair all around, to her and to the people she has served so selflessly and well and wishes to continue to serve.
Let me see if I have this straight. Hillary wants to testify under oath and in public (yet again!), and this somehow makes her secretive and non-transparent. Sheeesh!

Yes, and of course after 6 hearings they need one more and it cannot be now it must be put off for an October surprise smear job.
Thankfully Elijah Cummings has constantly and clearly cut through Gowdy and the political tool of utilizing the dead as partisan weapons. Gowdy would be ashamed if he had a conscience.

I hope Hillary stands firm on this. There’s no reason whatsoever she needs to testify in private. Zero. The only reason Gowdy wants that is so he can misrepresent her testimony and smear her when he leaks it to the press. A public hearing lets Hillary speak directly to the American people, and the GOP can have that.

They fund-raise off the death of 4 Americans. Sickening. I can only imagine what the 136 questions are. She said what needed to be said about her emails at the presser is a good move by Kendall. She is surely fed-up with going along with their BS.
136 questions – I bet her answer should be – not relevant and none of your business – to most of them.

She volunteered months ago to testify! It’s the GOP committee members who stonewalled. Geez!
