Before the the speech even begins and before the “analysts” get their teeth into it, let me get this off my chest. Nobody and no group of bodies is pushing Hillary Clinton in any direction about taxes.
If you go to the link below you will find an archive of about 50 speeches she made as Secretary of State and later that included remarks on taxes. Click into any of them randomly and do a word search for tax. You will find that she has consistently said the wealthy (or sometimes she used the word ‘elite’) do not pay their fair share of taxes. She has said that about other countries and about this country.
It should come as no surprise if she unrolls a plan that includes increasing taxes on the wealthy. She has always believed they were not taxed enough No Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren progressive group pushed her to say those things then or now.

And there are A LOT of people who haven’t paid attention to Hillary’s policies over the years but now claim GREAT expertise on who she is and what she’s all about.

Those are the plans of a presidential candidate. No yelling, no arm waving, no free-stuff-for-everybody proclamations that can’t be fulfilled, just plans – “based on reality” and “principled, pragmatic, progressive” ideas “convened” with “left, right and center” – to get stuff done!
“Evidence not ideology” – best line of the whole speech. Our girl don’t do rhetoric and bloviation. She just works the issues till it gets done.
Awesome. Krugman, etc. will be praising her. No doubt she will get an A.

Well sure we give her an A+ on everything, and rightly so. We are lucky when the media even covers “good news” for her. Notice how the real IOWA polls were not mentioned in ANY national media? They love a fight a tight race a bloody battle – we can’t help it if she is far above all the rest because she earned it for decades. It is 63 to 20 in Iowa and they want to call it close!?
I just saw these stats on the Teachers union. The AFT says their 1.6 million members will – make 1 million phone calls and knock on half a million doors for Hillary. WOW! Think about that. That is an endorsement that brings power.
And… it is merely the first of many, even larger, unions. This is going to be everything we wanted 08 to be. We waited. Like HFA says – it is OUR TIME.
Our Time. I can’t help but get up and dance when I hear her music start – and I do not like that kind of music, dammit! lol. But anything for our girl. Music snob that I am will bounce to pop for her. 🙂
