Hillary Clinton’s sweep of yesterday’s primaries was breathtaking. Many of us were up until the wee hours waiting for the last projections … and celebrating, judiciously, this lovely scene.
Just as many awakened to this morning’s social media filled with assurances that Hillary has already won the nomination and demands that Bernie Sanders withdraw now. Time for a reality check. There are 25 primaries still ahead. In 2008 Hillary stayed into June. We are not there yet!
Some may remember that in celebration of International Women’s Day 2015, along with Melinda Gates, Hillary and Chelsea released the No Ceilings Full Participation Report and launched NoCeilings.org. The tag for the day was NOT THERE.
We are in this for the long haul – to break that glass ceiling and be there! Hillary has always told us that this would be a lengthy, difficult process. We knew she would and should be primaried. The path so far has been intense, every delegate hard-won. We are on track for victory, but we are not there yet.
So pipe down, buckle down, and let’s keep working. If it was easy, everyone would do it!
As Hillary said, it is up to Sanders to run the race his way. Her campaign is not pushing him to do anything. She just needs to keep taking care of business on her end, which she’s been doing.

Him staying is fine. Otherwise, the media will go totally silent on Dem side…. I just want him to dial down the rhetoric and finger-pointing. Got to keep reminding him that he is running on the Dem ticket.

That’s what i’d like to see, too – fewer character attacks on Hillary.

Well, last night we celebrated and today I went to the beach, then to the pool and the hot tub. Then ran errands I put off for a long time. Then I just played with the cats and had a great long meal – at a table instead of at my computer!
Tomorrow I will get back to work – but today is a DAY OFF!
lol.
WE did it. 🙂

Good for you! You so deserve to celebrate. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

She is pretty much a lock as long as people vote (looking at you Michigan). But if people assume she is the nom and stay home, Bernie can mathematically still win if he gets about 75% of the remaining delegates. He has a ton of money, so he’s not going to drop out.

A lot of the remaining primaries are closed (meaning only Dems can vote), which won’t help Bernie. Even in Michigan, Hillary still won Dems by 16 percent. It was the Ron Paul independent types who wreaked havoc.
I’m also wondering how much money he still has, although he has no trouble raising it. He outspent Hillary quite a bit on the airwaves in the last week.

agreed. He would need about 75% of the remaining delegates.

Hillary needs to maintain 60% win rate on delegates. (counting out super delegates).

GE against DT will not be a cake-walk. We have to be ready for just about anything, going by the latest ad. Just listen to Van Jones, and the ad:

Anything that Hillary cannot distance herself from will be used, especially if he uses them in ads that will give him free media coverage… which he is getting today. …. and Today should be a great day of news for Hillary, yet there is hardly any coverage of Hillary on media, except for this one…
We have to be ready for a hard fight.
Hillary was tough on decision to attack/capture/kill Osama bin Laden. She is the STRONG one. She and Pres.Obama made it happen.

Hillary will not take Trump lightly, I’m sure of it. Also, don’t forget there’s a lot of oppo research on Trump that hasn’t been used yet that will be in the GE.

here’s a piece on the video, calling it puerile and sexist.

Glad to see it. It certainly is sexist.. Spokespeople on this have got to get on the TVshows … just call in!
DT has managed to suck up oxygen from the TV shows today; even more than the SCOTUS nomination coverage. This is worrisome

Another thing to note:… Between now and April 5th, on the DEM side, Hillary faces MANY primaries and caucuses that are likely challenges. on the GOP side, they are done with Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii; Washington State is not until May 5th, and Wyoming GOP will not be voting in its caucus this time. So, DT has a less riskier front between now and April 5th.. We can expect more attacks, snide remarks… He’ll attack Hillary without tipping his hand on his own opposition research as he has done with this ad.. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain at this point.
On the media side, we really *have to* get smarter in getting more oxygen from the media. Also got to get a lot more surrogates out there. It’s ridiculous that we have 5 states win yesterday and hardly any coverage… Every hour we have this new video released by DT being broadcast. Urghh.

sam, i don’t think hillary’s campaign minds trump being talked about constantly in the media. it’s not as if that exposure is making him more popular among the overall electorate. and that ad is more likely to offend people than do any damage to hillary.

Hillary has 2.54 Million more votes than Bernie.
Hillary has 1.2 Million more votes than DT. This is significant.
