I dont want people to miss this one:
Clinton fires up voters more than Bernie does, so why is no one talking about it?

Worth reading our strategist David Plouffe’s thoughts on the Dem race. Glad he is on our team this time! 🙂

Excerpt:
I believe Hillary Clinton has zero chance of not being the Democratic nominee. But she still is going to lose a bunch of states to Bernie Sanders the rest of the way into the clubhouse. Here’s my sense of how the race will play out from now to June.
There are 22 contests left. I would at this point predict Clinton wins 12 ( New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Guam, West Virginia, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, California, New Jersey and Washington D.C.)and Sanders wins 10 (Wyoming, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Indiana, Kentucky, Oregon, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota.)
Yes, he may very well win Wisconsin but the delegate yield will be minimal.

I generally agree, although I think Hillary will win NM and possibly lose WV.

Yeah, likely she will win NM. WV, and KY are confusing… No real pulse on those.

I live in WI and I would be surprised if Hillary wins here. I’m hoping the margin is close. And I’m also hoping that she wins N.Y., PA., New Jersey, and CA by wide margins. It’s going to be a long slog, but I’m pretty sure, not positive, but pretty sure she will be the nominee. After 2008 there’s a small part of me that thinks anything could happen and I just can’t be 100% confident about anything. I want it to be over and for her to be the nominee. I want to celebrate!

You echo my thoughts and feelings. It’s stressful (and unavoidable) recalling and comparing to 2008. I want this done.. clock forward.. and celebrate with all of you, and Hillary. We have work to do in between… harder than in 2008. Got to keep the faith.

At least WI is a primary, rather than a caucus, so I think it’ll be close. Her spokesman Brian Fallon said today that the open primary format favors Sanders, which we know is true, but it sounded like the campaign was expecting a close margin. A lot could depend on Dem turnout. Ms. Becky, is there early voting in WI? That would help Hillary, too.

There IS early voting in WI. In the video above tht still4hill posted, Sen from Wisconsin said she just voted… they have to go to the townhall to vote early.

Even within the States that he has won, Sanders has lost the counties that have high diversity, especially high black voter population.
This matters in DEM primaries. It matters also in general election.
Further, women population support matters a LOT in general election.

This is a critical point to make when we discuss Bernie’s approach with others. His plan for free college relies on Governors.. (they’re Republicans and many of them did not implement ACA in their states), despite the massive (9 to 1 fund-matching) incentive that ACA provides them.. Sanders plan gives a much smaller incentive (2 to 1 fundmatching).

BTW, sam, it turns out Puerto Rico is a primary after all, which means Hillary will get a nice net gain of delegates there. 🙂
