Daily News Editorial Board says Vote Hillary Clinton: Her plans to give working- and middle-class Americans a fighting chance at rising incomes are far superior to Bernie Sanders‘
NEW YORK DAILY NEWSTuesday, April 12, 2016A ritual that plays out at 8:30 a.m. on the first Friday of every month highlights the urgency of a Hillary Clinton victory in the New York Democratic presidential primary.
At that hour, the U.S. government updates the state of the working and middle classes with its latest measurements of jobs in America, how much they’re paying and how many people are going without.

On April 19, New York Democrats will have unusual say over the party’s nominee. They have in Clinton a superprepared warrior realist. They have in opponent Bernie Sanders a fantasist who’s at passionate war with reality. By choosing Clinton, Empire State Dems would powerfully signal that the party has gotten real about achieving long-sought goals.

Here then the moment has arrived to reckon, instead, with truths about Sanders and his programs:
Subjected to meaningful scrutiny for the first time, the senator from Vermont proved utterly unprepared for the Oval Office while confirming that the central thrusts of his campaign are politically impossible.

Clinton’s proposals are shaped for the world in which we live, not the world in which we might wish to live. By any stretch of the imagination — except that of Sanders — they stand as the highflying progressive wish list of a results-driven candidate.
Head to head exclusively on those terms — which are the fundamental terms of their debate — the former First Lady, senator and secretary of state promises to be a true Democratic champion.
For all these reasons, the Daily News strongly endorses Hillary Clinton in the April 19 New York Democratic primary.

I would have been shocked at any other endorsement result. I read both interviews and the contrast was striking, exactly what Hillary supporters have been saying since Day 1: Hillary is the most competent, experienced policy person we’ve ever had. She offers not simply a one-note diagnosis, something that St Bernard relentlessly repeats. But a fully mapped out, multi-faceted plan for growth and progress in all quarters, the full body treatment.
It’s the difference between a remedy you’d find at the back of Reader’s Digest and a consultation with a fully certified physician.
Who would you trust?
Besides, I’m looking forward to saying: “Madame President.”

The Daily News’ reasoning was spot on and powerful. They summed up Hillary’s strengths and Bernie’s weaknesses so succinctly.

Hillary is so polished and a real lady. Bernie has always comes across as angry and mean never a gentleman. Bernie has to stop filling the college kids heads with all these lies about free education. I told my grandson to remember you never get things for free someone has to pay for it and since he isn’t a tax payer his parents and grandparents are going to pay higher taxes to give him a free education. You go girl stop him in his tracks he has to stop lying to the week and inexperienced voters. I am also tired of hearing about him bringing down wall street, some of us were forced to invest to have a retirement. I heard one of the TV announcers say that this could hurt the middle class who are investing to retire on. He scares me because if he gets in office he is going to spend the next four years focused on one thing and one thing alone, wall street.

Absolutely! Ever since Reagan, we have lost the traditional pension funds and been forced into IRAs, 401 Ks and 403 Bs. We are all invested in Wall St. and it would hurt everyone saving for retirement as well as those already taking distributions.

Jane Sanders with Brooke Baldwin. Newsflash: POTUS is a 24/7 job even at 9 in the morning (Hillary has been up for hours by then) and you have to have the answers every one of those hours. As for the interview being “long” – have you watched Hillary’s Benghazi Committee testimony? Sheesh!
