There’s a story I tell in my book What Happened that I’ve been thinking about this week. A short while after last November’s election, I attended a dance recital for my granddaughter Charlotte. Now, Charlotte was only two at the time, and as you might expect, she and her friends hadn’t quite mastered their performances.
As I watched Charlotte and her friends laugh and fall down and get up again, I thought about how glad I was to be there, watching my granddaughter have the time of her life on stage.
In a hard year, it can seem impossible to take the time to be grateful. But even as we’re doubling down in the fight to defend our shared values, there is so much to be thankful for. Time with our loved ones. The victories we’ve seen recently. A resistance that is refusing to be silenced by hateful, divisive rhetoric.
And I’m grateful for you.
This warm, smart, big-hearted team has given me so much — from your support during my last campaign to your kind notes, hugs, and well-wishes. Now I’m asking you for one more thing: not to give up.
If you’re with me, add your name right now.
May your holiday be warm and full of love,
Hillary

@U.S. Senate: Time to ratify LOST!
"... ratify the Law of the Sea Convention, which has provided the international framework for exploring these new opportunities in the Arctic. We abide by the international law that undergirds the convention, but we think the United States should be a member, because the convention sets down the rules of the road that protect freedom of navigation, provide maritime security, serve the interests of every nation that relies on sea lanes for commerce and trade, and also sets the framework for exploration for the natural resources that may be present in the Arctic." -HRC, 06-03-12, Tromso Norway

My wish for Hillary Clinton is that she get in cardio shape just in case she is needed BEFORE 2020 as a presidential candidate.

I thought we were pretty well prepared last time. We had trained and saved for eight years. We were ready from the moment she said “go.” She is not going to run again.

Sen. McCain was very nasty in his Newsweek rant about our girl should keep her mouth shut. Enough of her book. He said when Obama won he did not comment on the election.
How disappointing that he said that about Hillary I though they where friends. He always claimed that she was a great Senator on the Armed Services committee.

McCain wasn’t cheated out of the White House like Hillary was. Big difference. The truth about Trump’s treason in colluding with the Russians will ultimately come out.

I am cutting McCain some slack. Teddy Kennedy didn’t have to endorse Obama either. There is no telling the degree to which the cancer is doing the bidding.

Just another white man telling a woman to shut up and sit down! He hasn’t a clue because he is a privileged white male as to what Hillary is trying to do. She is trying to keep the door open for another woman to run for president and know what pitfalls will be placed in front her by men like McCain when they do take that leap of courage.
We all know history is written by men, for men and Hillary’s documenting “what really happened” during the 2016 election ensures that the men can’t rewrite it to suit them and we all know that’s exactly what they will do, if Hillary didn’t document the truth.
Let’s not forget that McCain rode in on the coattails of Collins and Murkowski, who did the groundwork and voted NO first, making it possible for him to “grandstand” his no vote. A vote that would not have been possible to grandstand, were it not for these two women. That’s the definition of what it means to be a privileged white male…don’t acknowledge that it was the women who made his vote relevant while accepting the accolades given the press for his voting NO. What else is new? Hopefully, Hillary’s speaking out and her book will make a huge change in how male privilege undermines women every dim, damn day.

I suspect you all know, but the “no” vote I am referring to is the vote against repealing Obamacare!

I have no inside knowledge of McCain’s current medical condition obviously. However, I think someone should point out that he has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer which may affect his behavior and personality. I’m just keeping that in mind, and I’m no John McCain fan, to say the least.

I cannot let McCain off the hook on this one regardless of his health. For one, he lost big against Obama, Hillary WON the popular vote by 3 million and there is questions about how much the Russians meddled in the election (outside of false stories on social media), but actual hacking the voting systems to favor trump in those 3 states (Michigan, Wisconsin and PA) where he won the electoral vote by a mere 70,000. Can easily been adjusted via hacking without detection (I’ve seen it done). If McCain or any man had lost under the very suspicious way Hillary “lost”, they would have protested the final result and the media and their party would have supported their outrage and investigated. Heck, trump (knowing he was being helped by the Russians) declared before election night that Hillary won he would protest the final result and he would have had the Russians not managed to undermine the integrity of the vote.
Also, McCain is making major decisions that will affect all of our lives, such as his recent support for the so-called tax reform bill (principle just flew out of the window on this one), perhaps, because he didn’t have 2 women to vote against it first giving him cover to vote against and then take a bow afterwards and be adored by the media for doing so!
If his health is to blame for his outburst against Hillary, then he should resign and take care of himself and spend time with family because he has too much responsibility for it to blur his ability to make reasonable and rational decisions.
I’m not letting him off the hook on this one. Hillary is NEVER let off the hook for anything.

I don’t think we can let him off the hook on this tax plan vote. He is depriving others of the treatment he is receiving. That cannot wash.
I agree with you that any man who “lost” the way Hillary did would have been contesting it.
