In honor of #InternationalWomensDay, I want to celebrate some of the women and girls who inspire me every day.
These women resist inequality, insist on a better world, persist against all odds, and enlist others in our shared fights.

That Twitter thread was awesome, wasn’t it?
Am I the only one thinking today about the debate question back during the 2008 Dem primaries when Obama basically agreed to meeting the world’s worst dictators without preconditions and Hillary shredded him. Then Obama and his campaign pretended for the rest of the contests that he hadn’t said that at all because it was a pretty bad “rookie mistake” and confirmed that he really wasn’t ready for prime time. Then, last night, Trump goes and does the same exact thing, only he’s already president! I am not saying President Obama is as bad as Trump. But in the presidency, as in all jobs and professions, experience ought to be an important consideration. In the last two elections, it’s actually been used against candidates. Experience has become synonymous with “establishment” and the opposite of changemaker. Maybe we should get over this. Just a thought.
