Hillary Clinton, Cuomo call for decriminalization of abortion in New York at rally at Barnard

Former Secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton joined New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to call for the codification of abortion rights into New York state law and promote the Reproductive Health Act at a rally held at Barnard’s Diana Center on Monday morning. In past years, the issue of abortion rights has seen significant opposition by State Senate Republicans in New York, who lost majority control of the chamber in midterm elections in November. Currently, in-state abortion laws—written three years before the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case—prohibit abortions after 24 weeks unless necessary to save the woman’s life. Roe v. Wade, which has faced greater scrutiny by increasingly conservative federal courts, upholds a woman’s right to terminate her pregnancy by abortion before the third trimester.Through the proposed RHA, abortion would be decriminalized and put into public health law—a step expected to occur during the legislative session starting this Wednesday. Cuomo also announced that he will be proposing a state constitutional amendment to enshrine rights granted by Roe v. Wade into the New York State Constitution.
So now there is evidence that Paul Manafort was SHARING POLLING DATA WITH RUSSIAN INTELLIGENCE. But people are still insisting Hillary lost and was a bad candidate. Ffs.

Since sanders’ campaign has been accused of sexism in the way they treated the women who worked for his campaign, why isn’t he speaking at events that support women’s reproductive rights? Hillary is everywhere speaking on issues important to the American people. Bernie has done little to nothing in speaking on behalf of others since the end of his 2016 campaign. What is he too busy doing now to have no time to continue with the revolution he started?
It appears that all of the reports about his being lazy, cranky old guy, with a huge ego with the gall to think he should run for president again are true.
It was trump and sanders who were the bad candidates.

I read somewhere that he will be speaking at an MLK event at Columbia. I am disappointed in Columbia.

I would be very interested to hear that speech and how much and to what depth he speaks about sexism, reproductive rights for women and any of the other biases women face everyday. I still can’t get past his writing that 1972 essay about rape in which he said that women fantasize about being raped by 3 men simultaneously!
Yeah, he’s the one I would turn to in Congress for help when it comes to standing up for women.
He’s clueless and still has the misogyny conditioned into men of his generation. He’s just learned to hide it better. This man would be knitting in Vermont, never heard from again, if he were a woman with a Congressional record like his.
