It rained, but that did not dampen our spirits. The champagne is chilling. Making history felt very good today!

Hillary Clinton, despite all the crazy fluff, campaigned as hard as ever in Los Angeles on Monday.
We are not there yet! Please! Vote this morning!

So meanwhile, back at the ranch, this interview with Rachel Maddow preceded the AP call. Everyone who can should vote tomorrow! I apologize for this not being better organized. It has been a crazy night!
Hillary expressed confidence and said everyone was working hard. She has a wide lead. She would not affirm what kind of speech she would give in Brooklyn, but hinted it would be a victory speech.
She noted that she suspended eight years ago Tuesday and endorsed the Obama/Biden ticket to unify the party. Hillary is perplexed by Bernie’s insistence that she does not have the lead. She thinks he is suggesting that Super Ds can overturn the will of the people.
Hillary was very firm that special delegates (Super Ds) do not go against the will of the people as represented by hard popular votes and delegates accrued.
Hillary said the sooner we unify against Donald Trump the better. Hillary does not understand the argument the Sanders camp lodges.Rachel asked how unity happens. Hillary can’t answer. Said the campaigns are talking. Then she unloaded on Trump.
He is the threat that will unite the party. Trump impervious to the values of America. Dangerous nonsense. No respect for fellow Americans and disqualified for the presidency. His attacks are racist. Re: Trump and the judge and possible racial conflagration: Hillary will work against that and will call him out on statements that are racist, divisive, and dangerous.
Those comments must be repudiated. Hillary called it a terrible precedent to say a judge by way of heritage cannot rule fairly on a case where Americans have been defrauded. Trump is dangerous, undermines the rule of law. He is divisive and disqualified from being president. It is a racist attack. What else can you call these attacks?
Why 240 years to get here? Hillary is aware of the history but does not want to get ahead of herself. Wants people to vote tomorrow. Is running to be president for every single American.
I think this is my day and time to say this. If you supported her some time in the past and either “cannot” or do not today, you never were in this camp. Go follow Donald or Bernie into iniquity. Do not come back here like you are all over Hillary and have her BFF’s cell number. We, the anonymous, have stayed the course. We will carry Hillary in – on Teddy Roosevelt’s chair.

Hold your horses! But do not hold your vote! When Hillary decides to own this primary, we own it and we win, but not until that moment.
I do not know why AP came out with this massaged total tonight. But if you are in a final Super Tuesday state, please do NOT take this as signal not to vote tomorrow!
Every vote counts! Every delegate counts!
You may have seen this.
Here is Hillary’s response.
Pay no attention to the men working the curtain! Do go vote tomorrow. Do not let this stop you from voting! New Jersey, California, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota: Absolutely go vote in the morning!
From the campaign:
“This is an important milestone, but there are six states that are voting Tuesday, with millions of people heading to the polls, and Hillary Clinton is working to earn every vote. We look forward to Tuesday night, when Hillary Clinton will clinch not only a win in the popular vote, but also the majority of pledged delegates.”— Campaign Manager Robby Mook

Hillary revved up the voters in Lynwood, California today with a ‘Get out the Vote’ event.
Dear California, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota,
Let’s bring her way over the top! Let’s DO this!
Love,
New Jersey

Hillary visited a senior center in Compton, California today and held a press gaggle in the process. Asked about clinching, she said she wanted to “wait and see where we are after tomorrow.” She did respond to a question about the history.
Many times she said, she has seen women in tears upon or just after meeting her. We have seen accounts at the Facebook groups, too, from women who have been to her events and recount breaking down as Hillary left and seeing others around them also weeping. Hillary is very aware of the history factor. She knows, but she does not want to claim the history prematurely. That will not stop me from picking up some champagne on the way home from the polls tomorrow. I have been ready for her to do this for a very long time.
Just one day past one of the saddest anniversaries of my life when I lost my candidate who held so much promise on June 6, 1968, I will see the only candidate who has ever replaced him in my heart clinch the nomination. Yes, I probably will shed a tear, and I will be ready to toast her and us! I think Bobby Kennedy will be looking down and smiling. Sláinte!

On the eighth anniversary of Hillary Clinton’s suspension speech, voters in New Jersey and five western states, including the behemoth, California, will go to the polls. Given her weekend territorial victories, Hillary is certain to clinch in New Jersey before the western polls close.
Some points to remember:
Here is a scan of the NJ ballot in my district. Notice that it is not necessary for Democratic voters to vote separately for the delegates (as it is for Republican voters). Be sure that if you must vote separately for the delegates, you do so. Finally, make sure to vote all the way across for the down-ticket candidates on your ballot.
Let’s all do a bang-up job for Hillary tomorrow and bring home a huge delegate count for Hillary. The more delegates she has, the stronger she is for all of us.
Here are a few things you can do even as late as today to help out: donate, volunteer to canvass and to make calls.

Hillary campaigned in the capital on Sunday night. The primary is right on our heels, and, with her victory in Puerto Rico, history is right around the corner. You can feel it. Hillary and the audience at Sacramento City College seemed to feel it too.

@HillaryClintonWe just won Puerto Rico! ¡Gracias a la Isla del Encanto por esta victoria!
Hillary Clinton wins Democratic presidential primary in Puerto Rico
U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton smiles before holding a roundtable on healthcare in San Juan, Puerto Rico, September 4, 2015. Clinton is campaigning in Puerto Rico the same day that Republican contender Marco Rubio is visiting. While Puerto Rico’s residents will not be eligible to cast presidential votes in November 2016, they have a voice in the primaries and, as the island’s economy has suffered, an increasing number have moved to U.S. states where they can vote, particularly Florida. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic presidential primary in Puerto Rico, placing her on the cusp of having enough delegates to claim her party’s nomination.
Hillary Clinton jumped out to an early lead over Bernie Sanders in Puerto Rico’s Democratic presidential primary on Sunday, as the front-runner drew closer to securing the number of delegates needed to win her party’s White House nomination.
After a blowout victory Saturday in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Clinton is just 60 delegates short of the 2,383 needed to win the nomination, according to an Associated Press count.
Consider congratulating Hillary with a donation if you can.

If we were to turn back the clock to late 2014 and early 2015 – or even further to Spring 2013 – there was a great deal of rumbling. Folks at all the Hillary social media sites, Facebook groups and pages, Twitter accounts, and blogs were agitating for Hillary Clinton to run for president. For her part, Hillary moved very slowly and deliberately — too slowly for many while here I kept insisting that we hold back and let her think about this monumental decision.
Finally, in April 2015, she announced and many, many people leaped for joy and jumped on the bandwagon. Among these were the people who had been prodding her all along to enter the race. This included thousands – maybe tens of thousands of voters at social media sites long-dedicated to Hillary and big wigs in the Democratic party who had expressed hopes that she would run.
In the 14 months since that announcement, we have not seen a single special delegate flip to Bernie Sanders. In the social media I have not seen a single status update, tweet, or essay by anyone explaining that they had flipped to Bernie. Recently I have seen such entries from folks who had been supporting Sanders explaining why they were flipping to Hillary.
In what world, given this history, would any special delegates now move from Hillary’s column to Bernie’s?
In 2008 we did see people peel off of Hillary when she suspended her campaign and supported the Obama-Biden ticket. My sense is that they have never returned. I don’t see them on Facebook anymore. Maybe they have unfriended me. But I have not seen a single supporter drop Hillary for Bernie in this cycle.
When Bernie Sanders fantasizes that special delegates (SuperDs) will switch from Hillary to him, he is speaking, overwhelmingly, of the very people who begged her to run in the first place. They were the people who had her ear, and she heard them. So what is he talking about?
We know he has ignited a movement, but long before he did, Hillary did the same thing in 2008 and people who heard her then stayed with her over all these years. Hillary has a movement too, and it had momentum right up front when she jumped in.
Nothing Bernie has said, no ‘plan’ he has laid out has provided any reason for us to swing away from Hillary who has a talent for integrated, complex, detailed plans in her DNA. We like her. We like how she thinks, how she listens, how she applies what she hears, and how she explains what she is going to do and how she is going to do it. We asked her to run! That goes for all of us who have voted for her and plan to vote for her again and again. We love her for what she is doing for all of us.
You can put your cardboard cutout of Trump in front of us and say what you will about it. We know the person who can explain to the American people why she and not he represents a strong, secure, and prosperous future for this country.
So it is time. It is time for Bernie to dismount from that unicorn he rides. The Democratic Party allowed him to make a run under our umbrella. But Democrats did not vote for him in droves. They voted for Hillary. She has been our candidate from before she was a candidate, and nobody is going to switch from a work horse to a unicorn now. Bernie came into the tent under rules. He should respect them and stop talking about manipulating them. While he speaks of flipping SuperDs, he himself flips and flops over how he views them. It is time for him to face facts #WeAreWithHer. We have been all along.
It is not that we have not heard Bernie. We have – loud and clear. We have listened carefully. We did not and do not like what we hear. You are in the boat. It is time to fish or cut bait, or, as Hillary likes to remind us, at least all row in the same direction.
