October 9, 2013 5:55 PMHillary Clinton-Headlined Fundraiser For Bill de Blasio Woos Donors To Fight Against Tea Party
Bill de Blasio’s big fundraiser with Hillary Clinton is Oct. 21 at The Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, and according to the invitation email, it’s them versus the right-wing bad guys.
“Our Republican Tea Party opponents are willing to spend whatever it takes to disrupt this campaign and distort Bill’s vision for bold progressive change. And this reception with Hillary Clinton will be one of the final opportunities we have to raise the funds we need to make it over the finish line on November 5th,” de Blasio Finance Director Ross Offinger says in the email.
“Every dollar of your ticket price goes towards making sure this campaign for progressive change has what it takes to send Bill to City Hall, and change this city so that it works for every New Yorker.”
De Blasio worked at HUD during the Clinton Adminstration and went on to run the former First Lady’s successful 2000 run for the U.S. Senate before becoming a city councilman and then public advocate over the course of his political career.

Hillary Clinton will be the featured speaker at the tenth anniversary event later this month for the Center for American Progress, the influential Washington-based progressive think tank and activist group, POLITICO has learned.
Clinton’s remarks at the Oct. 24 event come as she continues to debate whether to launch a second presidential campaign – and put her before a critical policy group that is key for candidates looking to address progressive Democrats.
The president of CAP, which in its earliest incarnation was focused heavily on ending the Iraq war, is Neera Tanden, a longtime adviser to Clinton, who worked on her 2000 U.S. Senate race in New York and later on her 2008 presidential campaign. Tanden and CAP founder John Podesta, Bill Clinton’s former chief of staff, are also expected to speak.

With CGI 2013 tucked into the annals of history only a few hours ago, the Hillary futurecast is already visible in the crystal ball. She also also added a new speaking engagement to her schedule.
Hillary Clinton to host fundraiser for NY’s de Blasio
Hillary Clinton will host a fundraiser in October for Bill de Blasio, Democratic candidate for New York City mayor.
Details of the event will be announced at a later date, a release from the de Blasio campaign said Thursday.
The former secretary of State and first lady, along with former President Clinton, endorsed de Blasio last week. He’s currently the city’s public advocate.
In February, she will be the keynote speaker at the HIMSS Annual Conference. Apparently Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) had been keeping the identity of the keynoter a secret, but the mystery speaker’s name was revealed today. The conference will run February 23 – 27 in Orlando.

In the very local news, Bill and Hillary Clinton, who remained mute on the mayoral primaries in New York City due to their friends on both sides of the aisle who were involved, have finally broken their collective silence with an endorsement that comes as no surprise whatsoever.
Clintons back de Blasio
The Clintons, as expected, endorsed Bill de Blasio for New York City mayor.
De Blasio is a former aide in the Clinton Administration and he was the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton’s Senate run in 2000.
“Bill de Blasio has been a friend to both President Clinton and Secretary Clinton for many years,” their offices said in a joint statement. “They were proud to see him run a thoughtful, creative campaign about the issues, and they are behind him as he moves on to the general election as the Democratic nominee.”
In other local news Clinton Vineyards in the Hudson Valley is introducing a new wine.
Hillary Clinton Wine!
First came the Hollywood movies. Now a New York vineyard, coincidentally named Clinton Vineyards, is taking Hillary Clinton’s-as-of-yet nonexistent presidential bid to a new level: Victory wine!
