From the time we met as law students at Yale, I’ve always loved and admired Bill’s desire to help others. Since he left office, Bill has continued his legacy of public service by focusing tirelessly on finding new and innovative ways to improve the lives of people across the country and around the world.
For the past 17 years, the Clinton Foundation has launched groundbreaking programs to create economic opportunity, improve public health, and inspire civic engagement. I’m incredibly proud to say that, because of the Foundation’s work and partnerships:
More than 900,000 children’s books have been distributed to underserved families across the United States – helping more children prepare for success in school.
Roughly 150,000 pounds of medical aid supplies were airlifted to Puerto Rico with support from the Clinton Foundation in the wake of the devastating 2017 hurricane season – and the Foundation created a CGI Action Network with businesses, nonprofits, and advocates who are committed to building a more resilient future for the people of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and across the Caribbean region.
I can’t think of a more meaningful birthday present for Bill than signing his birthday card and making a contribution to the Clinton Foundation that directly supports these efforts. Whether you’re a supporter or a partner who helps the Foundation conduct their work in the U.S. and around the world – you’re working every day to change lives, together.
With the support of people like you, there’s no limit to what the Foundation can achieve.
Is Estela the official restaurant of the Obama administration? President Obama himself famously ate there while he was still in office, and Hillary Clinton continued the tradition over the weekend. The former secretary of State and presidential candidate, along with her husband, bought out the restaurant last night to celebrate her 70th birthday.
Happy Birthday from us all. Thank you for everything you do. We are all still with you and will never leave your side. Ever! We wish you a wonderful year, a speedy recovery, and health and happiness for many years to come. You remain our North Star, the one that guides us over unknown terrain and turbulent seas. Your example inspires hundreds of millions worldwide. Your stamina and drive infect us all with a will to keep going no matter how difficult the path. We are the grassroots … your grassroots that you activated.
No woman has ever, in this country, done what you have done. We know you stood on the shoulders of giants, but you, Hillary, are a giant upon whose shoulders, many will climb. You have inspired them to do that.
When we were little girls, none of us thought about turning 70. Maybe we thought about turning 14 or 18. None of us, then, were thinking about what we would have accomplished. We were thinking only about what we might do and how we might get there, but look at you! Look at what you have done!
We wish we could sit down with you for a glass of wine … or two … to toast your birthday, to toast your mom for having you (birthdays are most important to moms, and I adopted yours after mine passed – as you know). Since we cannot, we Still4Hillers are here to wish you a wonderful birthday. Cheers! No regrets, Hillary! We did it all. The cards were stacked against us, but we survive. We thrive with you at the tiller. Keep steering us as always, captain. This ship will stay afloat and find safe harbor with you at the helm.
Here is a great idea for Hillary’s 70th birthday in October that is getting off the ground now.
HRC Birthday Scrapbook
Hello, this is @notorioushrs on tumblr and I thank Still4Hill for spreading this message.
In the past 2 years of her campaign, I’ve met so many Hillary supporters online and in person. Each have their own story as to how they gravitated towards her and how she’s inspired them.
She’s turning the big 7-0 in October and I want to send her something special. With 30 other contributors I’ve met online, we are collectively making her a birthday scrapbook of all our stories, letters, quotes, pictures, and drawing that show how she’s inspired us. I believe if we make a collective project she’s more likely to actually get it and for it to mean something to her. I hope we can convey how much her work has meant to us, how we are all still behind her, and wish her the best in the future.
I am putting the book together and will get it to her before October 26th. If you want to join or hear more about the project, message @notorioushrc on tumblr or email me at bettedaviseyes1950@gmail.com. If you are interested, please contact me ASAP. I would like all messages sent to me no later than September 17th.

@U.S. Senate: Time to ratify LOST!
"... ratify the Law of the Sea Convention, which has provided the international framework for exploring these new opportunities in the Arctic. We abide by the international law that undergirds the convention, but we think the United States should be a member, because the convention sets down the rules of the road that protect freedom of navigation, provide maritime security, serve the interests of every nation that relies on sea lanes for commerce and trade, and also sets the framework for exploration for the natural resources that may be present in the Arctic." -HRC, 06-03-12, Tromso Norway
