In addition to these public appearances, there were a few social engagements in July that caught some attention.  On the 22nd she and her date were spotted at a local production of King Lear.   There was an evening out in New York City, and a nostalgic breakfast with Joe Biden  –   a reprise of a Tuesday morning tradition when she was secretary of state.   To cap off July, she had lunch at the White House with the president which all of Washington buzzed.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in Little Rock on Monday as the newest children’s library in Arkansas was dedicated in her honor.

The Hillary Rodham Clinton Children’s Library, which opened in March, was packed with more than a thousand patrons for the ceremony, including former President Bill Clinton.

While visiting the library, Hillary took a brief tour of the facility, read to a group of children and finished with a press conference, where she expressed her gratitude for the honor and for those who attended.

Hillary Rodham Clinton was front and center to read a children’s book when the new children’s branch of the Central Arkansas Library System was dedicated in her honor today. She read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” If they ever name a library for me, I’ll read “Hop on Pop.” (PS: I’m not counting on the opportunity.)

Big day for the Clinton family today. Mrs. Clinton will be joined by the former president and their daughter, Chelsea, at a reception tonight for the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at the Clinton Presidential Center. Mr. Clinton is expected to attend a Human Rights Campaign reception at the Arkansas Arts Center with the HRC’s leader, Arkansas native Chad Griffin, who worked on Clinton’s staff and is the point man for a growing national movement to bring equality to gay people.
