Hillary Clinton’s New Pantsuit Look Comes from Two Millennial Female Designers

Winning the popular vote but losing the presidency in the Electoral College has hardly seen Hillary Clinton wallowing in sweats. Sure, she went through a phase of walking the backwoods of upstate New York and indulging the selfie requests of fellow hikers. And she’s admitted to finding comfort in play time with her grandchildren and a glass (or two) of chardonnay. But the former first lady, senator and secretary of state is clearly moving on. She’s written a new memoir coming out in the fall, playfully promoted her namesake pumps designed by Katy Perry, and now is giving her iconic lob-and-pantsuit look a fresh twist with the young suit brand Argent, a line designed by two millennial women.

To receive her “Champion of the Century Award” from Planned Parenthood back in May, Clinton selected a suit jacket fittingly created by two young, female designers—and with a pretty budget-friendly price. (Somewhere between the Ann Taylor pieces in Clinton’s closet and the a very pricey look by Giorgio Armani she’s also worn.)

Katy Perry/Instagram

Over the course of her life, Hillary Clinton has had many important titles bestowed upon her. Of course, she was the First Lady of the United States for eight years, the Senator of New York for eight years, Secretary of State for four, and the first woman to ever be chosen as a major party’s nominee for President.

Now she can add “fashion muse” and “footwear model” to the list, thanks to Katy Perry, who designed a pair of pumps in her honor, dubbing them The Hillary. And when Clinton got her hands on a pair of the baby pink pumps, she was more than happy to show them off to their best effect for Perry’s Instagram.

Cute for Easter, they are affordable and come in small sizes, too!  Before I take any more abuse for talking about Hillary’s shoes, yes we do talk about such accessories on men too!  I have seen lots of comments about extra-long neck ties that do not camouflage a big gut.

For her heroic run, for her dedication to her hometown and to American values, for her courage and service, Hillary Clinton’s hometown has gathered round her in pride and gratitude this Thanksgiving.

Hillary Clinton’s Hometown Rallies Around to Give Her Holiday Cheer

At the Chase bank in Hillary and Bill Clinton‘s hometown of Chappaqua, New York, the spirited former president was holding court with a handful of locals.

“And he was pretty much talking about the how disappointed he and she were, how he feels she completely got railroaded by (FBI director) Comey,” says Richard “Zippy” Zimmerman, a Chappaqua chiropractor who was part of the 15-minute conversation on Monday.

“He said he wished he didn’t know Hillary so he could really go to town on the people persecuting her so he could really speak his mind,” says Zimmerman.  “He felt he was held back because he couldn’t defend her the way he wanted to defend her.”

This outpouring of sentiment for Hillary runs far beyond her husband in this hamlet north of New York City of some 1,400 residents, locals tell PEOPLE.

Following the shock and the tears of her unexpected loss, locals mobilized. Signs were put up in lawns and roadway medians thanking lawn care twin falls id for a decade of service. The board of directors of the Chappaqua Farmers Market made a 50-pound basket of locally-sourced goodies for Hillary: chicken pot pies, carrots, meats, cheeses, vegetables and yoghurt, says Emily Haft Bloom, of Chappaqua.

Grandma in Chief?Becoming a grandmother in the fall could influence Hillary Clinton’s decision-making – and not just which carseat to buy (though there’s that, too).

After stepping down as Secretary of State in 2013 and enjoying her first free time in a long time, Clinton is now pondering another run for the White House.

“I know I have a decision to make,” she recently told PEOPLE in her first at-home interview since the end of husband Bill’s presidency in January 2001. “But part of what I’ve been thinking about, is everything I’m interested in and everything I enjoy doing – and with the extra added joy of ‘I’m about to become a grandmother,’ I want to live in the moment. At the same time I am concerned about what I see happening in the country and in the world.”
