Chelsea Clinton receiving Val-Kill Medal in Hyde Park; mom Hillary to present it

HYDE PARK, N.Y. — Chelsea Clinton will be among this year’s five recipients of the Eleanor Roosevelt Val-Kill Medal, and her famous mother will be on hand to present the honor.
The medals will be given out during a ceremony starting at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site, 106 Val-Kill Park Road, Hyde Park.
The medals are bestowed by The Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill, a nonprofit educational organization that pays tribute to the legacy of “The First Lady of the World.” Clinton will receive her medal from her mother, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Hillary Clinton — a former first lady, U.S. senator, secretary of state and presidential candidate — was a Val-Kill Medal recipient in 1995.
