Doctors and nurses on the front lines of the battle against coronavirus are facing unprecedented challenges. Some hospitals, especially in New York, are overwhelmed with patients, and hospital staffs are working tirelessly — sometimes without the proper protective equipment. On Thursday, one hospital in the area received a meaningful thank-you gesture from some famous New York residents.

“Amazing !!! I am an ER doctor at Dobbs Ferry NY and just received pizza from the Clintons,” tweeted Dr. Angela Cirilli, who works at St. John’s Riverside Hospital and Dobbs Ferry Emergency Medicine in Westchester County.

Those of us who have had the privilege of having met Hillary Clinton know that she is warm, generous, and encouraging.  Always gracious, she is open, welcoming,  and a cheerful good sport.  Participants in the Chappaqua Summer Scholarship Program had their chance to meet and greet Hillary on Sunday upon completion of their summer courses.

The arts enrichment program affords talented young people from low-income urban schools the opportunity to work with professionals and adult mentors in a variety of activities and was initiated in the wake of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy whose Senate seat Hillary once filled.

His remarks were also directed to a beaming town resident in the front row: Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, a second Clinton to graciously address and meet with the kids on their momentous event. In 2005, her husband Bill Clinton was keynote speaker for graduation from CCSP, now in its 46th year.

Speaking to a private crowd of 10,000 realtors at the Moscone Center in San Francisco this evening,  Hillary Clinton emphasized the importance of home ownership as an aspect of the American Dream.  Noting that wealth and poverty exist everywhere but that our middle class sets us apart, she affirmed the role realty plays in American culture and called herself a realtor’s nightmare referring to the time when, as First Lady, she was house hunting in Westchester County with Secret Service in tow.  Once again deflecting the 2016 question, she reportedly drew chants of  “Just say yes” from the crowd.   Cameras and recording devices were banned (along with an irate press), but participants managed to send out a few pics via various social media.
