I hope that we can take it like it´s written there- NO PUBLIC APPOINTMENTS and she could spend some time with her Mr. President…it was pretty similar last summer a few days before his b-day (Bermuda), so I wish they could do something similar again. 😉

Yes, someone’s having a birthday tomorrow. Maybe she snuck away to be with him? If she did take a few days to be with him, he must’ve been a very good boy this year. She doesn’t take breaks for just anyone.

I hope she is taking the rest of the week with her Birthday Boy! Obviously he has been very good since he now is allowed to attend functions WITH her and even be abroad WITH her. So I hope she, too , gets a little reward – like some time off – which she really hasn’t had since Christmas break. She needs a vacation – Obama has taken – what? 9? 10? Since April! She hasn’t had one in a year.

I agree with you. She often referred to that as if it were a 2nd job (actually her 1st priority), and I am SURE she worked hard. She deserves a vacation. W eare going to have to teach her that word. She does not seem familiar with it! 🙂

They both are tireless. The Secretary does not like vacations so I read a while ago. If she does go away she finds some kind of work to keep her busy. Dick Morris made that comment on FOX and said when he worked for Clinton, she did not like vacactions.

I think the stuff that came out about their trip to Bermuda last year might have put her off the idea (if her little policy wonk self could, in fact, ignore the political positives of staying at her desk will Obama’s enjoying his summer vacation.)
