Secretary Clinton will receive the In The Arena award on Nov. 13, 2018, during a private evening ceremony in the Lady Bird Johnson Auditorium in Austin, Texas. Following the presentation, Secretary Clinton will engage in a conversation before students, community leaders and special guests.
This is my bottom line moving forward regarding all politicians. If a politician is pushing Vladimir Putin’s agenda, I’m just going to go ahead and assume that politician is working for Vladimir Putin. This applies to all–left, right, center, Democrat, Independent, or Republican. But right now, a special nod to Seth Moulton. Just to be clear.

Seriously, I don’t think we have any inkling just how deeply he may have penetrated our government, but there are so many political figures sowing chaos. And then there was yesterday’s report that Putin has taken over Interpol, just like Hitler did in the thirties. With Hillary cheated out of the presidency, no one’s even trying to stop him.

I didn’t see that Interpol story. Did the Chinese ever release the director?

Apparently, the story was premature. The vote is today with Russian a strong contender. Haven’t heard about current director since yesterday.

There are many people making the argument that because a candidate overwhelmingly won re-election in a red or purple state, they would also carry the state as a presidential nominee. Presidential votes are very different from votes for Senator or Governor. We have to be careful about getting sucked into the fallacious argument that people will vote for a candidate regardless of the office they seek. I defer to no one in my admiration for Amy Klobuchar, and I believe that she would win Minnesota easily in a presidential contest, but she would be highly unlikely to carry large numbers of Republicans in Minnesota much less the rest of the country. By the same token, it’s not a given that Sherrod Brown would win Ohio as a presidential candidate and certainly not by the large margin he won re-election to the Senate.

Did you see that analysis by a polling organization (I forget which one) that took all the characteristics that would appeal to Indies and Amy was the one who best fit the profile? It’s hard to know how anyone would do against Trump. It’s hard to know how he would do. He’s becoming so unhinged. Don’t go by me, though. I just can’t see how anyone can vote for someone who says “I want great climate.” What does that mean?

She does well with Indies and even Republicans here in Minnesota. I didn’t see the poll, but I’m not surprised. I am happy that so many are taking a serious look at her. Hopefully, she will run and test out all the theories!
Yeah, I’m still gobsmacked that ANYONE could ever vote for Trump. That’s partly why I’m so leary of all these hot takes about who is “a sure thing” based on their previous campaigns. And I do get pissed that Beto is considered a great candidate when he lost, and Hillary is supposedly the worst even though she got millions more votes. Beware the misogyny! Always.

He wants “great climate” means he doesn’t want his hair to get wet. 😉

This morning on CNN there was a pollster/prognosticator who singled her out. The most interesting part is that no one is asking her “the question.” She was on with Chris Hayes last night talking about Judiciary Committee things and the question never came up. When Gillibrand was on with Colbert last week (ppromoting her book), she was asked and she said she would think about it. Why does no one ask Amy?

It is now being confirmed that a South Korean has been chosen as head of Interpol. That is good news! The bad news is that Putin still has too much influence and previous president apparently remains in Chinese custody.
