This church bombing was the first thing I thought of when I heard that terrible news last night. Two people as diverse as Angela Davis and Condoleeza Rice knew these little girls. Let’s never forget them. Never forget their names, who they were, who they might have become. Killed in the bombing were Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Wesley, Carole Robertson and Carol Denise McNair. Jesus said “Let the little children come unto me.” They did. No one should be killed in church. Ever! Especially in this, our land.
Like today, it was a sad day in America. Charleston, we all walk with you.

Clementa Pinckney went to hear Hillary speak (he was campaigning for her) on Wednesday at the community college and some reports said he met her at a fundraiser as well in North Charlston. Afterwards he went to his bible study and Hillary flew west. She found out when her plane landed the horror that happened a mile away and a short time after she was in the midst of the victims and community.
Later today Hillary spoke about race, violence and gun control in Vegas and about the shock and the pain.
My neighborhood had a vigil tonight.

Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly made a statement. If you scroll back through the past few weeks – wow, they have made much progress. Heroes, both.
