“Take it from me: You can win by millions of votes and still not be able to beat Donald Trump. I’m committed to doing absolutely everything I can to help elect Joe and Kamala. Because I know the stakes are too high for the people of this country — and for people across the world. That’s why I’m teaming up with another former Secretary of State to have a conversation about this election. If you chip in to elect Joe, Kamala, and Democrats down the ballot, we could be sending you a special invitation to join us. Chip in $25 or anything you can afford to the Biden Victory Fund and you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to sit down with me and Secretary Madeleine Albright for a quick virtual chat. If you’ve saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: $25 ➞ $50 ➞ $100 ➞ $250 ➞ $500 ➞ Other ➞ Campaigns are hard-fought and elections are hard-won — and this has certainly been true this year. But with so much on the line, we can’t give up. We must do everything we can to put a leader in the White House who will represent the best of America and tackle some tough challenges like the COVID pandemic and climate change. Joe and Kamala would have never gotten this far if it weren’t for grassroots supporters like you. Thank you, Rosemary — I’m proud to stand alongside you in this fight. Secretary Albright and I really want to meet one of the folks that got us here, and I’m hoping it will be you. Chip in $25 right now to Joe, Kamala, and Democrats across the country, and you’ll be automatically entered for the chance to be one of the grassroots supporters that Secretary Albright and I have the pleasure of meeting on October 20th. I hope I’ll see you soon! Onward, Hillary Clinton” |
Hillary Clinton: I want to meet you

If the Biden campaign is genuinely worried about black and brown turnout in south Florida, they could have sent Hillary there in the final week. Little known fact you will never hear on CNN: she won 200,000 more votes there than Obama did in 2012. Donna Shalala is a member of Congress today because when she was behind in the closing days of 2018 she campaigned in her south Florida district with HRC while Andrew Gillum bizarrely held a big rally with Bernie. But the “Hillary is toxic” narrative and the misogyny which nourishes it is so baked in the political culture that everyone is required to pretend she is universally hated. Btw, I don’t think the Biden campaign has anything to worry about in south Florida but erasing Hillary does not endear them to me. They’re happy to take all the money she raises.

She has a history of blood clots, and we are in a pandemic of inflammatory disease. I don’t blame her for staying home. She doesn’t owe us another thing. I am proud of all she has done. This is not her race. We all need to understand and accept that.

If it’s her choice, fine. I don’t believe she was ever given that choice, and now we know how badly she was needed in certain places. Shalala lost. Maybe Miami Dade would have been a bloodbath any way. We’ll never know now. You’re right. She owes us nothing, but this election is proving lots of Dems owe her a big apology. It’s a damn shame.

Madam Vice President can dance in the rain all she wants now. And Peggy Noonan can’t do a damn thing about it. 😆

Congratulations, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris. (Auto correct typed out electric instead of elect for Kamala. She is pretty electric now that I think about it). And many thanx to Secretary Clinton for ALL she has done to get us to this moment. She is as tireless as she is timeless. Many thanx too to Stacey Abrams for almost single handedly delivering Georgia when she could not overcome all the GOP obstacles for herself in 2018. Note to Rick Santorum: we will give Republicans and Trump as long to process and accept their loss as we were given in 2016. That is to say, no time at all.
