Secretary Clinton’s Remarks With Australian Pri…, posted with vodpodSECRETARY CLINTON: Good morning. Well, this is an especially auspicious and delightful occasion to welcome the prime minister here on any day, but especially on International Women’s Day, the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. We saw a great example of the close cooperation and partnership between the United States and Australia yesterday when the prime minister met with the President when they went on to visit a school together.
The United States and Australia are friends by choice, partners, allies committed to meeting the challenges of the 21st century together just as we have met the challenges of the past. So, I’m looking forward to going into even more detail with the prime minister on some of the issues that we discussed in the Oval Office, and then to having her join me for just a short while – too short – but to make some remarks at our annual International Women of Courage Day.
PRIME MINISTER GILLARD: Thank you and can I say it’s absolutely fantastic to be here on International Women’s Day, and I’m very much looking forward to my discussions with Secretary Clinton. We had the opportunity to meet in Melbourne when Secretary Clinton was in Australia for our Annual Strategic Dialogue at AUSMIN talks and I enjoyed our discussions there. It’s fantastic to be here on today of all days. So very much looking forward to it.
SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you so much, Prime Minster.
PRIME MINISTER GILLARD: Thank you.
SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you all very much.
Ok, I know you are a fan of it still, but I can’t take that jacket anymore! She wears it a lot, and I have said why I don’t like it, mainly that it distracts me from what she’s saying and makes her look way bigger than she is.
If I ever meet Bill I will be so tempted to ask him to rip it off her if she ever tries to leave the house with it on again. I really don’t think he’d object to this suggestion 😉 I do think he’d take my advice 😀
On another note. Congratulations Madame Secretary on International Women’s Day! You are the best there is!

If the Squire of State starts removing articles of clothing, the ever punctual Madame Secretary might be late for work. 😉

I meant articles of her clothing, but it works the other way, too.

hahahahahaha. I think at the ripping off clothes point they really don’t care about punctuality.

plus, I think the press, and all of us here at this blog would give anything to have the Secretary show up late with a (Non-tweed) jacket that’s not buttoned properly, a certain glow, minimal makeup and slightly messy hair, cause we all just know what happened in that situation! 😉

Bill walks in a few minutes later, with messy hair, no jacket or tie, and a big smile, to bring her her BlackBerry. “You forgot this, Madame Secretary.”

bahahahahahahah!!! I don’t think they would be THAT obvious. Oh, I do wish they would though. priceless! 😀

I don’t think they’d be that obvious either, but I also don’t think they’re half as interested in sleeping together as we pretend they are.
